Went to the Buckeye Tavern to eat. The waitress Lydia R.waited the table.I ordered A Steak well, well done. The picture shows what She bought to the table.the steak was BRUNT BEYOND RECOGNITION. It looked like a hockey puck. So she comes over to ask how is everything . I look down at my plate to show here the steak. I said I can’t eat this it’s burnt. Then she actually had the nerve to ask me if I wanted another steak with attitude.I said yes. So she takes it back to the kitchen, she comes back out to say she has to charge me for another Steak. So now I’m pissed now. But I keep my cool. So now I eat the new Steak. Then she comes over to clean the table and ask me if I would like to take home the burnt steak. I said I can’t eat that, would you eat the hockey puck. Then she has the gall to tell me that’s how I wanted it. She was trying to justify it. She had a very very very nasty ATTITUDE. She need to be fired, I’m sure I’m not the only one she’s done this to. No tip was left. Will not be going back to the BUCKEYE TAVERN. I will not ever recommend this place ever. Good luck if you go. The food here was great - plenty of flavor. I got the deluxe nachos with chicken and no sour cream and they were fantastic (blew PJ’s out of the water). The cheese was peculiar in a good way, almost tasted like beer cheese or something but the portion size was just enough to fill me to the brim! The mozzarella wedges were okay but everyone else liked the food for sure. Their French onion soup looked delicious!
Atmosphere was lovely. It’s sufficiently lit, decorated for the holiday(s), and a beautiful open-space barn-house style inside and out.
First time visitors, WOW what a great historic presence inside, great food to choose from, a LARGE PARTY ROOM, BUT even better is the service. We were passing by one of the restored historic Lehigh Valley buildings with visually appealing interior decorations I've seen. I found that the food menu was by far the most interesting and tasty selections to choose from with many Appetizers, Soups, Sandwiches, Burgers and Dinner entrees. We shared the enormous Big Sampler a huge combination of tasty onion petals, pierogies, pickle fries, jalapeno corn fritters and fried mozzarella. It's just awesome. I had the tomato Bisque and Pulled Pork sandwich with a Non-alcoholic beer and she had the Shrimp Po-boy with steak fries and a bottomless soda. BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! We had the distinct pleasure of meeting Lisa the friendliest and efficient waitstaff I've met in a long time. PLEASE GO AND SEE FOR YOURSELF! I recommend you review the menu before your visit so your favorite foods are identified. You're going to have a hard time choosing just one. PS: I am mute and handicapped in a wheelchair, the Tavern is fully ADA complint.
Laid back, warm, and inviting atmosphere. We ordered the cranberry chicken (1)and braised beef short ribs (2) entrees. Both meals had very good flavor. The salted caramel crunch cake was delicious.
Have wanted to visit here for quite awhile but was never in the neighborhood. Quick meal that was above my expectations. Will be back.
Fantastic!! Was planning to try another restaurant but drove by this place and saw the parking lot packed for lunch on Saturday and thought that said something. Boy am I glad we came here. For being somewhat in the middle of nowhere, this place was great. Super cozy environment inside, nice deck outside. Food was phenomenal. Drinks were great and the staff was friendly. That black diamond stir fry was to die for. Would love to come back if we are ever in the Leigh high valley area again.

The Buckeye is a GREAT place to meet friend & enjoy Great food.
They also have some TV nicely placed if you want to watch the game, if it's on.
I like this place, food is good and is probably some of the best I have had from the Lehigh Valley (I am from Bucks county). The staff is great and are personable. The building itself is pretty cool.
I wish you could comment on the other reviews. My favorite is the lady that ordered a well well well done steak and was mad that she got a burnt steak.
