It has nice outdoor seating in the shade but lately my food has not been prepared as it used to. I get a jersey boy and the bagel isn't even toasted, cheese isn't melted and overall, it's not the quality it once was. I am disappointed that this location is going downhill.

Normally I stop in at this location anytime I'm working in the area. Food/ service is usually good. But when you ask for extra cream cheese and get charged for it and then you open the bag and the cream cheese doesn't even cover the entire bagel, how is that anything other than incompetence? I get charged for extra but don't even get a normal amount? On top of that, the counter person was uninviting and rude. Multiple times I said thank you and then have a good day, I get an ignoring blank face, and no response along with my order not being correct. For 13 plus dollars, I'll find another place. Thanks anyway.
My first time here. The restaurant was clean and the staff who took my order was personable and polite.
I took a star off the review for two reasons. The first is that when ordering another team member started running a wet dry shop next to the cash register and it very difficult to place the order and confirm it was correct. The second reason for the lack of a star was the manager slid the bag containing my order across the counter at me and walked away. It’s not that he was rude, it’s just that he wasn’t friendly.
The bagels were good. The amount of cream cheese was impressive and I’ll be sure to return. I would encourage everyone to get bagels here but I think the customer service skills could improve.

It’s been a year and I’ve returned to the area and returned to Brooklyn Water Bagel.
This time the staff were much more friendly and nice. The staff were friendly “enough” but it makes me wonder what the culture is like there that people ant be happy.
Anyway,This time I had a salt bagel and it was good. I wish it was super encrusted with salt. I’d pay more if it was. The bagel was good and chewy.
I was intrigued that they had egg creams. Disappointed that I had to make it myself but ok I’m game. The problem was that the spoon they give you is dramatically too short so your fingers are in the drink while stirring and that’s no fun. The drink was just mid but the next time I’ll make it better.
I LOVE a good bagel. It’s a comfort food for me. This place does not disappoint! Authentic NY style bagels, served exactly how I love them. The COFFEE is also exceptionally good. I would not say that Brooklyn Water Bagel has kept pace with the creativity of the better mom and pop bagel shops of the city, however. Bagel and smear flavors were a bit pedestrian, but very well executed. They do it right! Pastrami and egg sandwich was great, as was my favorite everything bagel sandwich. Go. Well worth it. Don’t expect to try something new, but do expect it to be executed perfectly.
We really do think the food is good here but when it comes to getting the order right that’s a different story! The staff working the front of the house is great but the people in the back just don’t seem to get the orders right especially online orders. My husband and I made an online order where they completely just didn’t make his order even close to correct. He ordered the Leo which is supposed to have salmon and is $11.50. He literally just got a bagel with cream cheese and onion. That is it. This isn’t our only experience having a wrong order. I’ve ordered tuna fish salad sandwiches, where they have given my chicken salad and gave me also a melt once which I didn’t ask for. I really do want to like this place because when the order is right it’s really good but I can’t get myself to give a higher review because about half my orders have been made wrong.
Favorite place to eat breakfast when I’m in Vero/Sebastian. Delicious and reasonably priced. Don’t love the coffee, but everyone has different taste there…
The Taylor ham and egg is incredible, and my dad loves their blueberry muffins.
Wanted a Ham and Swiss Bagel sandwich but no plain bagels available. Settled for a ham and Swiss on rye but was surprised to discover I got ham and American instead. Bread was fresh. Way too much mayo, and I like mayo. Ham was okay. Instructions for self-serve egg cream were not very helpful. Not a great first impression.
