Best BBQ sandwich I’ve ever had! Small walk up building with parking. Both gentlemen were polite and welcoming. Ordered and received food very quickly. Very large portion, hot and juicy chopped pork sandwich. Well worth the side trip from the interstate!
You can immediately tell pulling up that this place is legit and has so much history. Had the rib plate with coleslaw and potato salad and everything was top notch. I would not go there after dark though as the area is really rough. Was approached by two crackheads while ordering lunch.
I'm here on business and found this place on Google. The food was great and I felt for very reasonable price. Service was friendly and fast. The establishment looks very clean it's a small bbq business but the pork sandwich was amazing. So glad I stopped here and I'd recommend this spot for anyone in the local area.
First time visiting, the food was delicious. Its located in the hood, but thats where the best food is ????The ribs were seasoned good, tender. I got the rib sandwich, about 5 nice sized bones and french fries. I had been craving ribs and this did not disappoint. I will definitely go back.
For starters, I completely understand the walk up shack style eatery, but I did dock one star solely on the lack of not having anywhere inside or outside to sit and eat. It’s perfect for picking up an order to take home. The other star from making this a perfect 5, and I never thought I’d ever say this, but it’s entirely too heavy on the sauce. The original smoke and seasoning flavors are lost in the extremely wet pulled pork and ribs. However, the taste is still great. I would definitely return. This place has been serving the community for over 50yrs and for damn good reason.
I drove about 10 minutes to get there. The service was great and fast. Alot of walkers. I got a rib plate 6 bones and fries and baked beans. Big NO on the ribs THEY DO NOT PULL THE MEMBRANE OFF THEIR RIBS. For this place to give you that many bones for a good price on a bbq plate they need to do better at cooking and cleaning their meat. Baked beans were regular and the fries were the only thing good on the plate. And the BBQ sauce is grease. I will not try this place again because it made my stomach hurt and I instantly had to go to the bathroom. I give this place a 2/10!
Best BBQ in Alabama! I got chopped pork with fries and baked beans and it was PHENOMENAL!
I ordered the pig ear sandwich, but on today for some reason they gave me one pig ear in a sandwich when it's usually 2 on the sandwich., his explanation was "if the pig ear is big you only get one"...no sir, that pig ear was smaller than my 4 year old Grandbaby's hand! Never again for $8!
