Located just by the Cloth Hall in central Ypres. Great seating area outside and some covered with heaters.
If cycling then there are racks outside you can lock up your cycles.
Very good food and good price despite being in central Ypres. Great beer and service was quick and very polite.
My partner and I went for a late evening meal after the Last Post Parade and was not disappointed, the SAS beer was cold and refreshing, the ontry was very satisfying and free,my partners main was rare to medium steak with mushroom sauce,I had Pork Cheeks both where full of flavour and very filling, puddings Belgium waffle nuttela fresh ceam, vanilla ice cream caramel sauce n Hazelnut sprinkles both equally lovely,The staff are very professional kind n curtious, defo recommend 5☆
We visited on 25th April. The restaurant was very busy and staff working hard to provide an excellent service. My partner ordered a ribeye steak, it came as ordered perfectly cooked. My partner said it was the best steak he can remember eating out. I ordered an omelette which was delicious. Although I was full I had to try the warm apple pie - glad I did it ranks up there with my Mums and my Sister's who are both great pastry cooks. I needed to hurry to get to the Menin Gate ceremony, and staff accommodated this. Top marks all around, would recommend
Fab meal and fantastic service. All topped off with a good slurp of Irish coffee ☕????????
Very good lunch, salad with cheese crocetten and fritjes. Would definitely eat here again
Just popped in with a part of 5 to grab some food. Really appreciate the experience from the young staff members . Very engaging and friendly . really helpful with menu choices, providing the allergen booklet when enquiring about gluten intolerance . Food was delicious ( onion soup and mussels) . Value all in all very very good . Thank you ????
We arrived here (the town) on our last day of the roadtrip for a wander, didn't plan on stopping here but we did because the place we wanted to go had not updated their online menu. My wife really fancied a Flemish stew, so we ended up here... Can't doubt or deny, the food is cooked perfectly! I had the steak, medium to rare and came how I wanted it. The Flemish stew tasted amazing! I highly recommend either, or both!! Just starve for 2 days and go crazy! The fries were the worst part, dry and had no flavour.
Service, it wasn't horrendous but nothing amazing, they just did their job, didn't bother asking about food, more drinks etc...
Atmosphere... It's dark and I think they're trying to go for a modern vibe but felt more miserable than anything else. I'd go back here purely for how good the food was. It is a bit pricey.
Toilets on site, shared but clean.
Outside heated seating area, unfortunately while standing outside looking at the menu my wife was splashed by the guttering that literally aimed just above the menu. That's disgusting and why you get 3 stars - along with other contributing factors.
We had a lovely time here,The food was great and the service was brilliant ,I would recommend this place to come and enjoy
