Seems the employees here range from good to fresh out of junior year of high school. Some servers just need more training and to pay attention to their service area. Took forever for someone to take our order. Food was decent including the steak, but not $45 decent. Steak was at least cooked medium as requested. Mixed drinks are pretty good.
This establishment seems to have had complete turnover of their wait staff. Actually, for the worse. We've dined at Bourbon Grille dozens of time as we are member of El Gancho fitness center that is connected to this restaurant and it's convenient for us to grab a quick meal on our way home. Today we had server 'Brenda'. We sat for well over 10 minutes before I finally flagged her down. She seemed annoyed as I said we were ready to order. She never greeted us with a 'hello', 'welcome', 'what can I get for you', nothing. She took out her pad and stared. She took our order and we never saw her again until she brought the check at the end of our meal. She brought the check without a word and dropped off the payment without a 'thank you'. Absolutely nothing. This woman should NOT be in the service industry. All our regular wait staff were no where to be found. The whole experience was a major disappointment. The table next to us had a similar experience and the manager had to take over for Brenda. I hope they wise up and get staff that is actually competent.
I went to Happy Hour at Bourbon Grill. Iwanted to have a Brandy Alexander, however, they did not have the ingredients. So, I tried their Ginger Turmeric Hot Toddy!! It was anazingly good on a chilly afternoon. I also got the Wednesday $1/piece Chickrn Teriyaki Wings -- DELICIOSO!!!
This place has seen many management and menu changes over the last couple years but I feel like they really hit their stride. The new drink menu is 10/10 and their Wings are the best in town. Service has greatly improved and the Happy Hour is one to beat. If you go make sure you either ask for Steven or Bo, two servers that have been there for a while and always do a great job.
I love steaks. I went to this restaurant to try their grilled steaks. I always like my meat at medium rare but they totally missed it. They got mine to medium well but I still like it. The flavor was good, well seasoned and well balanced. I don’t really need for a steak sauce. I enjoyed eating it. The sides were delicious too. The dessert of apple pie a la mode was good. It wasn’t too sweet, just the right level. My server was so accommodating and made sure I was well taken care. I gave it a 5/5. Would definitely recommend it.
Ohhhhh man, I ordered a 12 oz prime rib and it was more like 16 oz. The cook was a perfect medium rare.
The chicken chili soup was outstanding, it didnt come from a can like other restaurants.
The salad had high quality cheese and dressing.
I got a kentucky mule with the right amount of giggle soda in it.
This place is fine dining cuisine and priced appropriately. Its a good date spot.
We were there on mother's day and I get it is a busy day. We were there for over and hour and 20 minutes before we got our food. Whe. We did receive the food my prime rib was way overdone, shrimp fajitas were bland ,and baked potato was cold. Towards the end of our email,after an hour and a half, there were only a few tables.in the bar, only were checked on and said.the did was not good and the person who came to our t alw just said "ok great" and walked away. When we received our check it was $114 but the charge was out through for $143, before we even wrote in a tip. They did void the sale and ring it up properly, but on top of everything else just a bad experience.
Mannnn. Visiting here and Idk about New Mexico’s food. Mexican food outside of here that we have tried has been good but everything outside of it has been very subpar. I ordered medium steak and it came out well done. Was not asked to cut into to see. Slow service. We ordered a soda and it was not brought until after the food was delivered. We also had to go find kitchen staff just to ask for salt and pepper. Was hassled about an id that was expired by a few days.
