Best WLM Reviews
Great place for a couple of drinks and a night out with the girlfriend, boyfriend, the boys, the girls, you know what even party's.This is Micheal saying "Come down and see use. Cant wait"
Had dinner with the family here last night. The restaurant was busy and they had just converted to a new menu, so the kitchen and servers were still adjusting. The co-owner came over to explain this right away which we appreciated. We ordered corn bread, Brussels sprouts, NY Strip, blackened salmon and Beef Wellington. Everything we had was fantastic. Overall we had a great dinner and can’t wait to come back once everything had settled down.
I just moved here from Denver. I read the reviews and heard all the scuttlebutt from the locals regarding the trials of this new restaurant. First of all, I have to say, after living in this small town for almost a year my observation is that Montrose many times hurts it’s own by not supporting new business. It makes no sense to me. This restaurant is struggling and needs help but the product is exceptional and the vision is novel. Do we really need another corporate chain here? Let’s put our best foot forward and be a supporter not a detractor. This business affects several people within our community and their livelihood. And the quality of this product deserves our grace. Let’s help them figure it out.
That said, I ordered an appetizer, two signature cocktails and an entree with a glass of wine.
The server was a beautiful young lady just starting out in work life; Gwen, a sophomore at the local HS. She was attentive and contentious and she is going to go far because of her good customer service skills. The food was extraordinary as were the cocktails. I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and cool as a cucumber cocktail. ThenI ordered the surf and turf and the “Clyde”. When my dinner came out the surf was missing to which they quickly rectified the oversight and actually added more prawns than were in the normal entree. The owner suggested a delicious red blend to go with my meal.
I was very pleasantly surprised because of all the negative things I’d heard. So glad I never make a decision based on other people’s opinion, because this was a truly a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back.
My family had dinner tonight at Bonnie & Clyde's. It was fun because we sat with our kids and told them the history of the beautiful building. We told them all the special memories we had, had there with the many lives this building has had. Our dinner was phenomenal. I can be some what of a food critic but we were all very impressed. The atmosphere was everything I have been wanting in Montrose for YEARS! My heart was happy tonight. The lighting was warm, the music station was PERFECTION. Service was great (they seem to be training a new staff so ... BE KIND). We will be back soon. Love that they are right on Main Street within walking distance and I can not wait to sit on their BEUTIFUL patio when it warms up.
What a lovely place.....I love the atmosphere and the food was wonderful! Lydia...our server was so sweet and made amazing drinks :). We will definitely come back. I am new to living in Montrose , and this reminds me of some of the places i loved to go eat, on the front range. Quality. Great Atmosphere...and really good food and drinks. Way to go Bonnie and Clyde’s.
We are from out of town. The place looks really cool.. an old church converted to a restaurant. That is about where the great experience ended... took 60 min to get one of two appetizer then 15 min later to get the meal...salmon with broccoli because they ran out of asparagus and the broccoli was almost ice cold.. then half of the second appetizer showed up. What a mess. Took almost the entire meal time to get replacement broccoli.
They did try to make up for it with additional free food. The owner did explain that they were short staffed because any one that gets hired will not show up. I blame the govt for that.
Will give them another shot when we come back.
I've had two experiences with this place and they've both been pretty disappointing. Today, we tried to go to Saturday brunch which was advertised starting at 8, got there at 10:30- they were completely closed and dark. Please do not advertise false information.
My second experience was a couple months ago, it took literally over an hour to get WATER and a beer, we left shortly after, didn't stay for a meal.
I thought I'd give them a second chance, but I was more sad than angry, I was really looking forward to having a brunch place on Saturdays, as I have to work on Sundays.
Good overall experience. We visited the restaurant a few weeks after they opened. The menu selection had a nice variety, the drink menu was well thought out. We only tried two of the appetizers, the bruschetta and and an order of shrimp. Both appetizers were excellent.
