Best WLM Reviews

The worst Indian restaurant in DC. Do not trust the appearance of the food when it is brought out. The Bombay thali has no flavor and the indo Chinese veg and non veg appetizer has the same sauce no matter what you order. And the sauce tastes like ketchup. The pav bhaji’s bhaji has raw cut vegetables that are not properly smashed so they rather call it pav and korma. They couldn’t even get the masala chai right and it no taste and felt like I was drinking hot water. Lastly, they should put more effort into making the food taste good rather than just making it look good.
Apparently, if you are an Indian food aficionado, you will not like this place. However, if you are a novice, the food is quite good. People are saying that it’s not as tasty as it should be… I thought it was quite good. The garlic naan is not quite as flavorful as some of the other breads I have had.
This is not Bombay style food, avoid at all cost! Gobi Manchurian is the worst please steer clear. Honestly, only the bread from pav bhaji was good, the bhaji had chunks of vegetables. Atmosphere and service was average.
I went to Bombay Street Food 2 recently with my wife for a dinner night out. A dinner night out is a little different than date night. It’s always tough trying to find parking on 8th street but we got a good spot on a side street. We started off with the Reggda Patties. I can’t lie, I thought it was going to be similar to a beef patty but to my surprise it wasn’t. This dish was awesome though. It had a lot of flavor and was on the sweeter side. Next we had the Bombay Biryani which was amazing. My only comment was that the dough on the outside of the bowl it was served on was not fully cooked. The dish itself was delicious. We order one more item after under the Indo Chinese section called the Chinese Manchurian. This was probably my favorite dish. This would be a good dish to ear with white rice. Overall enjoyed my experience.
The restaurant was nearest located to the Capital Hill so we went in for a quick bite after a tiring afternoon. The food and service was at par excellence. We ordered thali and an appetizer and the taste & flavors were authentic Indian. The afternoon meal made us decide to order dinner from this place again. Each penny worth spent here.
Travelling to DC. Have to try Indian food. Thank god I picked this place.
Loved this place. Good food. Good ambience. Real Indian flavors. Nice staff. Must try masala chai. 10/10
This was so good! Met a friend here and was told I HAD to get the biryani rice with chicken so I did. I’m mad I did tho, because i don’t live in DC so I can’t have it again until next time. Will be back!
The name of the location should not be equated to the food quality or taste.
The Puri’s had an oily stale smell
The Napkins had a stale smell
The waiters and cooks were arguing as if you were on the streets of India. That was the one thing true about the name of the place.
