Lunch time! Stopped in Columbus for a bite while we were on the road. Never had Bojangles before! It's decent. Had to try a few different sauces. The Bo Sauce is horseradish based and is my favorite. The dirty rice has great flavor. The tenders are nothing special. The batter lacks in flavor, but the sauces make up for it and the chicken itself is tender and juicy. Don't drink sodas often anymore but had to have a Cheerwine! (Got a tea to go.) My husband got fries and a chicken sandwich- tried the fries and they were perfectly seasoned. But the biscuits- omg The dessert Bo Berry biscuits had blueberries baked into them and they were delicious. They were larger than anticipated. We split one then I ordered two extra to take with us for later. The service was also great and the manager Myra was enthusiastic and seemed truly happy to serve us and explain the menu. Dining area and bathroom was clean and well stocked. I rarely ever give 5 stars for anything, especially when it comes to food, but Bojangles deserves it.
Clean, bright, modern southern chicken place just off the highway. Fast service and easy in and out for a traveler. Both the crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches are very good as is the coleslaw and tots. We enjoyed the peach cobbler dessert, making it on one of the biscuits seemed to make it all that much better.
Dined inside for lunch. The establishment was clean. There wasn't a line to order. The employees were friendly. The food came quickly. Everything was really tasty, and you get a lot of food in a regular combo! The chicken sandwich made me think of Popeyes, very crispy chicken. The dirty rice was pretty good. The lemonade wasn't overly sweet, which was nice. My husband ordered the 5 finger combo which comes with 2 sauces. They both tasted good. The biscuit was better than any other chicken place biscuit. Not a fan of the fries. Overall, I will go again if I'm in the area.
I honestly don’t understand the hype behind Bojangles. First time trying it today and the only thing that blew me away was that peach pepper sauce that had me wishing I could order by the bottle! I ordered a chicken sandwich combo with fries, small side of mac n cheese, and tea. I’m very underwhelmed by the food. Chicken and mac was bland, and fries were too hard. The staff I interacted with were friendly-which is a plus. Overall I’m glad to have tried it but have no desire to try it again. That sauce tho is another story!
Chicken tenders were big and tasty, well seasoned. price is reasonable for what you get. Mac was better than kfc but not as good as chick fil a, ate inside and it sounded like there was trouble in paradise- lot of intense yelling coming from the kitchen. Would be better if they had bone in chicken but maybe someday. It’s still good though- very filling
Bojangles has decent biscuits and fried chicken from the south. This place opened really early in the morning. The service was excellent and the place was clean and dynamic. I do appreciate it that they gave me a wonderful morning.
I thought the breakfast food here was great. It was a great price for a sandwich, potatoes, and coffee. I was worried the chicken biscuit sandwich would not fill me up, but it definitely did. The potatoes tasted more like tater tots than a hash brown (there is a difference), which I reeeeally liked since I’m not a huge fan of hash browns. The chicken was juicy and had a bit of a kick to it, but not overpowering. There were no toppings, but I thought the chicken was enough. Biscuit was a good texture, but you do need something to drink while eating this. Can’t wait to try their non-breakfast food!
Stopped by for breakfast since it’s new to Columbus. I tried the sausage egg & cheese biscuit sandwich and the Bo-tato rounds, both of which were pretty good. The biscuit was fresh and the sandwich overall was fine, but the sausage patty was oddly a little spongy and didn’t have much flavor. The biscuit overpowered the flavor of anything else on the sandwich. The Bo-tato rounds are like if you have the BK hash brown crowns a mushroom from Mario Bros. They’re huge and they have a good flavor, though a bit more oil flavor than I would like. I’ll definitely be back to try the chicken for lunch or dinner.
