Best WLM Reviews
The restaurant is clean and fragrant as you walk in, the atmosphere is on point with Korean music lightly in the background.
Unfortunately it lacks in the food department. While flavorful the dish lacks complexity. Where is the egg, carrot, and the green onion? Also there were no spices available at the table.
Not major but the little things add up here. So as a result this quaint Korean restaurant gets edged out by the Seoul Taco down the street that provides a much better meal for the same price.
Customer service and food was excellent, no complaints there. I definitely recommend the spicy chicken bowl with a fried egg. My only issue is the dining-in experience is a bit cramped. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and visitors of STL wanting to check out the loop.
Absolutely delicious, the Bulgogi was tender and incredibly flavorful. Adding the fried egg gave a nice addition to the flavor.. The gyoza/mandus were perfectly crunchy. The best meal we have had in days, we will absolutely be back!
Edit: We've already been back again, just as delicious as before!
Cant go wrong w/ spicy pork! Bowl was satisfying and proved to be enough for two servings. I like that some fresh greens were included.
So I did a Google search for Korean restaurants near me. Bobq appeared and I stopped. This ended up being my best visit of the day. Simple menu but the food was excellent! I met the owner who was working the grill. He makes his own kimchi!!! Great place. Most definitely a five star stop
I ordered the pork and beef combo, which is my most favorite flavor. I really enjoy the atmosphere here, and this is the favorite restaurant for me in St. Louis.
This is a hidden gem on a U-City side street (Melville Avenue) which runs into the Chuck Berry Statue on Delmar Avenue. Its neighbors on Delmar are Vintage Vinyl and Blueberry Hill. I can't recall how I heard of this place, but it was on my list to visit. They did not disappoint! The food is freshly prepared, served hot and fast. The staff is friendly and polite. I had the Beef Bulgogi Bowl for lunch at the restaurant and took home the Half/Half Bowl with my picks of Spicy Pork and Spicy Chicken along with an order of the Dumplings (5pc) for dinner later that day. Parking in U-City is a hot mess, but I used the public lot north of Delmar on Eastgate Avenue by McGinnis Alley and walked over to Bob.Q. I would recommend everyone give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
I used to come here regularly but it seems the og cooks have left because now the food is either burnt, not seasoned well, or made with subpar meat.
The portions have too much rice compared to everything else.
I wish they had ssamjang for the classic Korean barbeque experience.
