To be quite honest, we stumbled onto Bob's by accident. We were on our way to another place for lunch, but it was closed, and we passed by Bob's on our way back to our motel. I'm so glad we stopped in! The inside of the restaurant feels like an old-time diner. The owner is incredibly friendly. He took our order, made the food, AND brought it to our table. I love chicken sandwiches, and his crispy chicken sandwich was one of the best I'd ever had. The onion rings were very tasty. (When asked if they were good, he said, "If they weren't, they wouldn't be on my menu.") Being an old fry cook myself, I could tell that he keeps his grease fresh. My wife had the 'loaded' nachos. Also, very tasty. It was easy to tell that the beef was his own recipe and the pickled jalapenos added just the right kick. I believe he said he was a third generation owner, and you could tell that each generation had a passion to make this a great place to eat. If you are in Milford or just passing through, you are missing out if you don't stop in!
So excited about their location open year-round. food is delicious, fast, and comes with great service!
Had a good quick late lunch. Plan to go back for a malt soon.

Good option for carry out, as Food comes out quick. But also lots of seating for dine-in.

Great place to eat at when in Okoboji. Never nearly as busy as the Arnold's park location and a much more traditional restaurant. The food is delicious for the type of food that they serve (fried food). I definitely recommend going here and suggest you get a malt.
Bob's is a great place. The owner runs the place (help is hard to find - if you are looking for a job talk to him). The shakes are great. Hot dogs made any way you like.
Nothing beats Bob's cheese taverns! Famous since 1949, this is their newest location in downtown Milford, drive right up to the door. So convenient. Arnold's Park location still open. I love their cheese curds instead of fries. They offer malts, too.
Food is good. But we have driven twice from Spencer only to find it closed despite the hours listed as open. Gas prices are too high to play that way.
