He was a great car person..I went for many years ...I went a few weeks ago and the shop was cleaned out..I'd like to think he retired...
To be honest, they do their jobs to fix your vehicles and expected you to bring it back repeatedly. They have changed their way to rip you off. I couldn't trust any other car repairs businesses just like Bob. They don't always clean up the car before returning it to the customers. Bob know a person and their family back in the 80 or 90s (long time) very well, but I guess he had changed of heart to rip them off. All businesses are like that nowadays. ????
I am a car owner who prefers to give my business to an independent repair shop instead of a dealer where possible. That being said, Bob's Car Care is my go-to shop because 1. Bob is honest, 2. His prices are fair, 3. He gets my repairs done quickly, 4. He tells me when something isn't worth repairing and it's time to say goodbye to the car, and 5. He tells me when he can't do the repair and it needs to go to the dealer or when it's a type of repair he doesn't do, which almost never happens. I've been a customer for years and will continue to be.
If it's an advanced repair, or you’re not sure exactly what the issue is, then my advice is to take your vehicle somewhere else. In my experience I found that Bob does not have the time, patience and in my estimation, skills to trouble shoot advanced issues. Several hundred dollars later and the problems I brought the car in for repair were still not addressed.
Bob is a great guy and has been my family's mechanic for decades I would always recommend him...fair and good workmanship

Bob's prices are always fair. He is the only mechanic I trust not to over charge or do work that isn't needed.
