After reading other reviews of the Blue Sky Cafe, we decided to give it a try. Upon entering the cafe, we were warmly greeted and felt like "we were at home". Our waiter quickly greeted us and took our order. As we observed the atmosphere of the restaurant, it became apparent this was a place where locals hung out. The food was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection! When the waiter presented us our bill we were surprised to realize how much food they provided compared to the price.......it is very reasonable. Come hungry or be prepared to share a plate or take some home with you. In our current post pandemic time, it is wonderful to see this eating establishment practicing good old fashioned customer service, great food, and a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere. We are planning to return to try their lunch menu. Based on our breakfast, we know it will be great!
I tried the new special, and it was a good one, but my favorite is the burrito with green chill and gravy now that's on point.
Haven't had a bad experience yet! The Fancy Nancy chai is delicious, and so is the Lower Pine. My favorite dish is the Twisted Biscuits and Gravy, such a great take on a classic. Chicken Salad on a croissant is excellent, but I also liked it on the salad with a sweet iced tea. Best staff in town!
UPDATE: Finally tried the Cluck Nest- and had it twice in one week!
Blue Sky Cafe in Bayfield, Colorado, consistently exceeds all expectations with its delightful ambiance, friendly staff, and an exquisite menu that left me thoroughly impressed – a 5-star experience that deserves every bit of praise! Really good food and service. Nice little Cafe in Bayfield. My wife had a coffee and said it was delicious. Highly recommended.
Placed
an order for pickup this morning. Placed the order at 11:15, they told me 20-25 minutes. I drive all the way into town and get there at 1140. Doors are locked and nobody will answer the phone while the people inside laugh as I try getting them to open the door. Thanks a bunch
My dogs mom and I just had breakfast here on Sunday. If you like family cooked food and place that feels like home, eat here and come hungry, because the food is delicious and the portions are generous. The pancakes are pretty, the bacon is bacon, and the green chili has great flavor. Take your dogs mom here and you’ll get a biscuit.
