I frequent this establishment for both dining and a night out on the town. Chris and the staff are always eager to please and they have karaoke a couple times a month. The Blue Room is THE spot to hit if anywhere near Edina, MO.
The atmosphere of the new Blue Room is great, however, waiting 2.5hrs for a bacon cheeseburger and home fries is not. It was the “grand reopening” and I arrived that evening to get a burger. They said it would be an hour wait, understandable. An hour turned into an hour and a half and then 2hrs. I look around and the entire front portion of the dining room is EMPTY and there are maybe 20 people in the back by the bar (over half of them are just drinking at the bar not waiting on food). 2.5 hrs rolls around and finally the burger arrives. Clearly it was sitting back there for some time. Cold to the touch and really disappointing as I’m looking at 4 staff just jaw jacking in the kitchen when they could have been bustling to serve customers in a timely manner. And no I wasn’t the only one waiting. Another table seated next to me was waiting for nearly 3 hrs for 4 burgers as well. I don’t see myself returning. The least they could have done was make it right and give me the burger for free or maybe a couple free beers but nahh they’d rather make you pay full price for a cold burger and 2.5hrs of my time.
Bartenders are busy severing there friends and talking to them and going outside to smoke dope
Just because we had a bad experience doesn't mean the next person will so I won't even attempt to write what happened. I just hope it doesn't happen again and they get their act together. I would call ahead of time to check your wait time though. Ours was 2 hours.

They brought it out. I crapped my self. It was Giant! The biggest ever.
But I destroyed it!
We had the grilled chicken wrap and tots, cheeseburger with tots and chicken strips with tots. The wrap was basic, chicken, lettuce, cheese and dressing. It was a little small but it was good. The cheeseburger we all tried and thought it was good. The chicken strips were your basic, run of the mill, dry chicken strips. The tots were crispy and not too greasy. The service was good. The bathrooms are really small single user bathrooms. The building seemed to be big enough to hold a lot of people in it's two sections with the kitchen in the middle. Over all the place was ok but nothing special about it though.
The blue room had great food. Good place for the family. But not to long ago the place burned down. It was a tragic loss for the Owners and staff. By hopefully it will be rebuilt
Very slow service. Waited 2hrs today for 2 chicken strip dinners and a grilled cheese sandwich with my daughter and granddaughter I realize today was busy due to cornfest but the service was not any different the night before when there were very few patrons in the dining area. This used to be the best place to eat but 1 to 2hr wait for service is not worth my time
