Jim and his team of mechanics are terrific. Everyone is courteous and takes the time to explain what work will be done. I was amazed that they were willing and able to squeeze my car into their schedule and get the needed work done on short notice. I will definitely return whenever my Subaru needs attention.
After having a terrible experience with the Hyundai dealership a year or so ago, I am thrilled to find a place like Blackman's for my 2007 Hyundai Tucson. I was able to get appointments very quickly and the work was done quickly and efficiently at a very reasonable price. Both Jim and Julian were very friendly, and all work done was explained to me very clearly. I look forward to bringing my Tucson there for many years to come.
I am new to the area and have been looking for a mechanic for a while. I found what i was looking for at Blackmans. Easy to deal with, actually listened to what i had to say, and didn"t take exception to me wrongly attempting my own repairs!! They did my repair THE RIGHT WAY, in a more than reasonable time frame and won over a new client!!!
In today’s day and in age it’s not easy placing your trust in many businesses; but at Blackmans you can. I know when I bring my cars to their service center I am going to get an honest diagnosis, great pricing and exceptional work.

I've used Blackmans several times. Jim and his team do great work and you won't feel like you have been robbed. He has given me advice about buying / selling my auto and what needs to be done to my car to repair an issue. I've never had to return to his shop for a job that wasn't resolved. I highly recommend this garage. He obviously does good work because he has alot of repeat business. His garage is a rare gem in Danbury.
The owner is very kind and professional. I asked them to look into a brake issue my car was having. They were great and were able to give me a fair quote so that I could get it fixed.
Blackman’s is a very professional and capable auto service company! We were traveling through Conn to Arkansas on a 95 degree July day with our A/C out. We could just not go further without AC. Called ahead to several of the national chain repair stores, not available. Tried Blackman’s, explained our troubles and they worked their schedule to fit us in the next morning. I was very impressed with them and cannot thank them enough for their help and honesty. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!
