I normally don't write bad reviews but this shop is the absolute worst tattoo experience you will have. The owner, Lawrence, is so unprofessional and rude and his quality of work is not worth his treatment. Worst of all, he didn't clean my skin before tattooing which is unsafe. I'm not sure how they are even in business. They used to have so many other artists but they all quit because of how bad this shop truly is.
I have never written a negative review for a business, however looking back through the current reviews I don’t see any mention of the name of the artist who tattooed me, so I thought I should share my experience.
The shop itself was clean and nice. Matt was the artist I had an appointment with. Both Lawrence and Matt are very kind people and my experience socially with them was great. That being said, I am pretty disappointed with the results of my tattoos.
After Matt put the stencil on, I liked the designs and wanted to move forward. When I went home and looked closer at the finished product, though, I was disappointed. The lines looked shaky…the numbers weren’t matching, they slant, and there are clear mistakes. Friends and co workers said that it didn’t look professionally done.
I unfortunately have had to spend more money going to another tattoo shop to rework the one on my arm. They said they don’t think they can fix the numbers without a cover up, so I’m looking to laser it off, which will cost hundreds. When I reached out to Lawrence, he offered to try to touch up the numbers, but overall I know that they will never be perfectly straight and matching, which upsets me for something that should have been so simple.
I’ll include pictures of the before and after of the one on my arm, and the numbers as they currently are. In conclusion, I can’t give an opinion on how your experience would go with Lawrence, but I would not recommend the other artist in the shop.
Had the place to myself. Jamie was great. Listened to me, great placement. It was actually last miny- gave my ideas and he let me play the music- don’t worry!
I got the tattoo today! I planned the tattoo a week in advance he was very professional and liked my idea also was a fun experience i will be coming here again.

This place was awesome! The guys that work there are all super friendly. Very experienced with their craft. I got my first tattoo today, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the result. I am recommending them to my friends and family. Will DEFINITELY be returning for more!
Had a fantastic experience with Larry today! I lucked into an open walk in spot, and walked out with the most perfect piece! The entire experience was a blast, and the artists in the shop, both mine and the other artist working had me laughing the entire time I was in the chair. Can't beat an experience like that! I'm super excited to head back at the end of the month to get a new piece with my husband!
I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at Black Sheep Tattoo. Larry is phenomenal. He was able to merge together two designs that I wanted. I'm so happy with my tattoo. In addition, the shop is very clean. I highly recommend getting your work done here.
