Kristopher Hipsher is a featured artist at this shop and recently posted a tattoo design on Instagram presented as his own that was seemingly lifted directly off of an LA tattoo artist's custom design work without any credit. Having seen the original work and seeing that the post is still up I am of the opinion that this shop is in support of this sort of behavior and doesn't deserve your business. I've been getting tattooed by Aaron for almost 15 years. I was referred to him by a regular client & became a regular myself. I refer all my friends to him & everyone is always stoked on their art. I've collected many tattoos from various artists all over the US, but Aaron is always the most fun & has done the most art on me. I love his shop/ the vibe there. He does the best traditional style, black & grey as well as killer script. I can always trust him to turn my abstract ideas into way better concepts! Joey is another talented artist there as well!
Best place to get a quality amtrad tattoo. I have over 20 done at this shop, mostly by Aaron. Very pleased with the experience every time. Great vibe, quality art. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful custom piece!
Jordoe did a fantastic job on my walk-in tattoo! Called in a couple days before new years with a group of 5 all wanting tattoos, they were very accommodating and fair on price. Guys a legend, sat and tattooed for 8 hours straight on 5 different people. Clean shop with nice atmosphere. Traditional style is the most practiced here, highly recommend!
Following my recent online interaction with Derek at Black Palm, I cannot in good conscience endorse this establishment. What should have been a straightforward inquiry for a tattoo quote devolved into an unprofessional and hostile exchange. Since I admired Derek's work, I inquired about the cost of a tattoo, only to be informed that I needed to make a deposit via Zelle, an option I couldn't use. When I asked about alternative payment methods, he suggested, "Can a friend send it for you?" – a proposition that made me uncomfortable.
I informed him that I'd get back to him. In response, he retorted, "Wanted to book, and now suddenly you don't, lol," and, "Artists don't appreciate being approached only to shop for prices." I clarified that my intention was never to be disrespectful, to which he commented, "...Just wanted to book a date and time, then deposit, and now you don't want to book, lol. Just funny."
I've never encountered such a response before, and I find it profoundly disrespectful. Perhaps improving his customer service skills would benefit him in the long run, but then again, he may prefer this disrespectful approach.
They’ve done four separate tattoos on me. My plan is to have all of their artists do some work on me because they’re all talented. I drive over an hour to get my ink from them. I can’t wait to go back again. Sorry if my pictures don’t do the artwork justice.
For as long as I have been going to Aaron, he has always been good to me: he always fits me in, always does fast efficient work and overall, super kind. Black Palm is clean, professional and the owners are sweet. I recommend these guys to everyone who wants clean, original work done!
Was referred to this shop by the dude working at the drive-thru dairy next door. After talking tattoos and what not he told me I should check out Aaron's work over at black palm since he had a piece done by him and was really happy with it. After doing so I booked my first appointment with Aaron and now this is my go to shop for all my work (big fan of American Traditional). Super clean shop, good vibes, talented artists and conveniently I live right next to it. I've had 3 tattoos from Arron (one being a cover-up) and I'm more than happy with all of them. Even when I dont have an appointment I try to make it a point to stop by to say what's up and hear those tattoo machines hitttin' skin
