Best WLM Reviews

Please take this at face value: this is a Pakistani restaurant located in a South St Paul truck stop. So, if you were planning on doing a 'Joy Ride's movie marathon, I would suggest holding off til after you come here.
The ambience at Biryani Stop is quaint and charming. The food which is somewhere advertised as being like food one would get at home, is exactly that assuming you're Pakistani.
I got the goat biryani. The rice was very well spiced, and the meat was fall-off-the-bone tender, which I typically have not found with goat meat.
My mother got the Pakistani equivalent of Butter Chicken. Also, delicious. The sauce had been much reduced throughout the day since we arrived a couple hours before close and had an umami quality a lot like the crusty bits in a lasagna pan.
They have a lunch buffet for 19.99$ a person. Dinner entrees were closer to 15$ per dish.
Naan was standard fare and very useful for mopping up butter chicken sauce.
The chai was delightfully spicy and not too sweet.
Before we left, the cook/server/dishwasher offered us complementary dessert. He called it trifle. Someone from the southern United States might call it banana pudding. I was ecstatic.
I highly recommend trying this place and, if you do, being mindful that there are trucks entering and exiting regularly.
One of the best authentic true Pakistani restaurants in North America! That is not a understatement; been to places all over Canada and America and this place is easily in the top 10!
Their Weekend Brunch is amazing!!
It is located in truckstop/ Gas station; but gets packed super fast with families!
Must stop if you are coming to Minneapolis!
This is your must stop if you crave for traditional Pakistani/North Indian cuisine. You will definitely find hints of Kashmir & Punjab as well. It has a perfect desi Dhaba (gas station restaurant) vibe.
Food is to die for, I am sure your stomach would be full but not your hearts. Highly recommend going on Sat/Sun as they serve buffet and that would be the best way to try all their specialties.
I personally enjoyed the pakistani Puri-halwa, butter chicken, tandoori chicken, chicken biryani, pakistani chole-puri, chole-chicken and Kashmiri Chai.
The naans are so light, puffy, and yummy.
Owners are super friendly and hospitable.
Outstanding food and ambiance. A friend took me to this place for breakfast and it reminded of Karachi while growing up. Nihari / Paya/ Biryani/ Haleem and “gram gram” puri and naan - awesome experience - A must place to eat when your are in Twin Cities
First, keep in mind that when it comes to authentic #Pakistani #cuisine, there very few in and around Twin Cities (#Minneapolis and #SaintPaul). Moreover, the #Indian restaurants have more South Indian recipes while Pakistani dishes are closer to North Indian Cuisine.
#BiryaniStop is definitely one of the best #halal Pakistani cuisine in town. There are very few to none restaurants who can make #Korma and they have the best. In the buffet, we tried #ChickenBiryani, #GoatKorma, #Paya (goat #knuckles), #Nihari (Beef), #ChickenTikka, #Haleem (Beef), #Puri, #ChanaMasala and the list goes on. Everything was great!
Though entrance is a bit confusing as it is in the middle of the truck-stop/stand, once you are in, it is comfortable. Staff is very courteous and friendly.

Food was pretty good. Nihari and biryani were delicious. Next time I'll try the kebabs. We went for the Thanksgiving buffet and everything was delicious. We got to try a bunch of different things. The place was packed and the service was good. The chai was good.
We had the pleasure of doing Iftar buffet here yesterday. We had made reservations earlier and were therefore easily accommodated. The ambiance was good, contrary to what it looks from the outside. But the food was amazing! Everything from the chaats to the biryani and bun kebabs were so delicious. There was a wide range of drinks to choose from. It topped off with chai and then falooda. We had kids of different age groups with us and even the picky eaters got a share of something they enjoyed. It didn’t get refilled as often as I’d like but I guess it could be because it was a weekend and the place was fully packed. Would totally recommend and will revisit over and over because it gives me a taste of home that is rare to find in US. Hoping that they expand the place because they’re going to get alot of guests in future!
Authentic Pakistani restaurant in USA. I just loved the food here. We ordered biryani, pulao, chargha, kebab, chicken tikka, chicken qurmo and chicken karahi. Everything was amazing and up to the mark. Whenever I visit MN, I must go to this place.
The ambiance is reasonable and you have to order a day before for chargha, but otherwise the food is awesome.
