Happened upon this little gem on my way to the lake. It is a food truck at a residence with two picnic tables for outdoor dining. I got the fried catfish platter. The fish was meaty, flaky, fresh and cooked to perfection. My sides were cheesy corn and cucumber salad. They were nothing to write home about but were decent. The cornbread was amazing! Had a good sweetness to it. I'll have to ask them to warm it next time and it'll be even better. Can't wait to come back and try the BBQ!
I go to Big Smokes from time to time and always get a Hot Mess. I've known the owners for a long time and when I heard that they were going to start selling BBQ, I thought, "Yes! This will do very well!" I do need to try some other dishes that they sell. Oh and their desserts are amazing too!
Since it's so blasted hot and I wasn't in the mood to cook this evening, we thought we would try Big Smokes out ordered a slab of ribs and I will tell you they were wonderful! The meat literally fell off the bones and very tasteful. This will definitely be our go to place for ribs in the future!
Came over from St. Louis to visit friends at Linn Valley Lake and they suggested we get dinner from here. Good fried chicken, mashed taters and green beans. Incredible pies! Very happy to learn about this place tonight!

Great little Oasis. Is love the atmosphere picnic style shaded. The meat was smoked very well. Is love the Carolina sauce homemade by the way. My wife had the smoked meat loaf sandwich she usually doesn't brag on a whole lot of things .but this one she did. Mac and cheese was very good. The cucumber salad lacked a little bit of acidity and salt.but very fresh . I also had the key lime pie my wife had the banana bread cheesecake which was delicious. Is overall an excellent place to stop and have lunch or dinner
Food is absolutely delicious. Everyone was so friendly. Ate here for the first time tonight for my sisters birthday and we were blown away by how amazing everything was…. Highly recommend the beans, coleslaw, and all the meats…. Will definitely be eating here again
