This shop was highly recommended, matching exactly the same recommendations you'll read in the reviews. Unfortunately, the experience was nowhere near to what others have received. You may think it's a one-off, it happens, move on. However, the matter that drove us to this point is not to be taken lightly and wouldn't be taken lightly by any customer. First, the shop owner(Robert) gave the instruction to call our insurance for a rental arrangement reservation and to then call the shop and provide it. Did exactly that. When I arrived, he immediately went to call Enterprise, who had the reservation, just to find out they had no vehicles. No biggie, I brushed it off and left the shop. Once I coordinated the rental directly with Enterprise, a couple of days later, we went back to the shop to drop off our vehicle for front bumper body repairs. 7 days later, the vehicle was ready for pick up. Robert did mention they would charge an additional 5% if we paid the balance with credit card, so i took exactly the balance amount to the penny in cash, we signed invoices, and then went to go check out the work. In inspecting the work done, I noticed the front bumper on the driver side was not aligned to match the passenger side. I decided to press with my index finger on the unaligned side of the front bumper to find a lot of play/movement and immediately went back inside the shop to voice my concern. While Robert did come out, he didn't bother to assess my concern and went to immediately state, "This is a perfect job! There's nothing else we can do!" and he walked back into his facility. So, I decided to pull my phone out to record what I'm seeing. A couple minutes later, Robert comes back out, approaching me & spouse very angry and upset about the fact that I decided to pull my phone to record the work performed on our vehicle. Robert blatantly stated that he's angry and insulted the fact that I was recording the work performed on our vehicle. At the end, Robert allowed his EGO get the best of him and completely dismissed customer service, us, and our honest concern we had. If Robert would've assessed our honest concern, he would've been able to see that the bumper passenger side is well secured while the driver side is not, perhaps because of the wheel well siting over the bumper instead of under the bumper like on the passenger side, not allowing the bumper to properly be seated & secured. Instead, Robert decides to tell us to leave, kicking us out, the shop's parking lot because it was 4:20pm. Take a look at the shared pictures, and you'll notice the red circles on the misaligned driver side front bumper vs the blue circle on the passenger side. Don't question or voice any concerns regarding their work performed cause you may be treated the same. This was the worst customer experience we've ever dealt with at any shop.
I was recently in an accident that damaged my 2019 Toyota RAV4 pretty well, and was lucky to find Big Kids Toy Auto Shop! Robert got my car in quickly, kept me informed through the whole process, always checked in regularly, and most importantly made sure my vehicle was as safe as it was when we bought it new. As a mother of two with a busy schedule it was a relief knowing I had someone on my side through dealing with difficult insurance to making sure we were safe and got a fair deal. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely go through them if we have any future car issues.
I cannot recommend this business enough! The entire experience was seamless. There is a reason this is the top Auto Body shop in Fresno/Clovis! They only use the very best parts and even return your rental car. I love that it is a family owned business that takes great pride in their work. Thank you so much for everything☺️
Robert and his staff did a phenomenal job on my truck. He has exceeded my expectations. Robert kept me up to date with the progress of my truck and completed the work before his original timeline. Most of all he used OEM parts like he stated. He handled all negotiations with the insurance company and did not back down. Hands down world class customer service. I will be doing all my future business with Big Kids Toys. THANK YOU AGAIN ROBERT!!!!!
My husband and I bought our first car in Fresno from Big Kid Toys. Our second car purchased in Fresno was also from Robert! I currently own a Ford Edge and I love it. They do all the usual maintenance, no more and no less than what I need at a fair price!They are a family run operation with Robert and his wife running the day to day operations and their sons in the back. They are trustworthy and honest. I would recommend anyone that is looking to support our local hard working citizens at a fair price, have them come to Big Kid Toys, they will not be disappointed! We've purchased two cars from Big Kids Toys in the last twelve years or so, and each time was an excellent experience, and Robert always came up with the exact car we were looking for, and always at a very fair price!
Just this year I had an accident in my Camaro, and I was afraid it was done for, but Robert wasn't ready to give up on it. After evaluating the damage to my car he was able to persuade the insurance company to work with us on repairing the car rather than totaling it. What I ended up with is a car that was in better condition than it was in when I purchased it ! The crew at Big Kids Toys did a wonderful job and the car looks great!
Big Kids Toys and Auto Body are very reasonable on there rates and do very good work . All the staff was very professional and did the work in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them to anyone for all your automotive work. I had extensive body damage to my Buick Lacrosse and they restored it to like new. I will be taking my cars to them for all my future repairs.
