Best WLM Reviews

My first experience with an Authentic Pizza. I came to visit after watching a YouTube Video by Nick DiGiovanni. I had both Pepperoni and Grandma Slice. Pepperoni is pretty classic with a fairly thin dough but was also bit chewy. On the other hand Grandma Slice has a great texture with perfect amount of softness and crunch on the thick slice. I would definitely say the pizzas are authentic and great but not worth the hype! I would still recommend trying once and will also visit again if I get a chance
The perfect rendition of a NY slice shop with excellent pizza. Crust is classic NY slice with great crisp, taste and chew.
The Grandma slice was delicious _ more sauce and well seasoned to balance the thicker square slice.
Notes about scoring:
1 star = Memorably awful
2 star = Not good and would avoid
3 star = Good but would not return
4 star = Recommended
5 star = Incredible and must visit if you can

I finally got to meet chef Frank Pinello, a goal I’ve been wanting to accomplish since his show, The Pizza Show, first appeared on Viceland when I was twelve on my YouTube page. Thus, this will not be an objective review.
But, the grandma pizza is my favourite slice in all of New York City. Hand-crushed tomatoes are painted in streaks across the square pie, bringing a rich umami flavour that you simply don’t get anywhere else. Biting into a full tomato chunk and a healthy helping of mozzarella as it sits in a bed of soft, airy dough is a reticent joy you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. And lord knows I’ve been pressin’.
Their regular cheese slice is good as well. Extremely thin, with fresh in-house made mozzarella. But I’d go for the Grandma slice each time. Just wish the crust was a bit more risen.
Best Pizza is everything a NYC slice joint should be: fresh, locally sourced ingredients, a grab-and-go kind of vibe as locals pop in and out, and a wonderful owner who lives and breathes the honest art.
Small, vibrant and extremely bustling spot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn serving elevated wood fired pizza.
Best Pizza is just a handful of 9+ ever given out by @onebite review and IMHO; definitely lived up to the score.
Reliable pizza spot in Williamsburg. Love the pizzeria vibes. Gives nostalgic high school pizza joint vibes. Nothing fancy or overdone. No Resy required to grab a slice. Just walk in, get your order in and hangout while enjoying some solid pizza
Stepping into Best Pizza for the first time, you're immediately struck by the bustling, authentic Brooklyn vibe that promises an indulgent pie experience. And the promise is fulfilled; the white pie and the cheese pie, famed among the regulars for their exceptionally thin crust and rich flavor, are the stars of the show. We decided to follow the crowd's wisdom and opt for the cheese pie on our maiden voyage to this heralded spot.
The first bite was a revelation - the crust crackled with the perfect level of crispness, supporting a flavorful blend of cheeses that melted harmoniously in the mouth. It's the kind of pie that commands your attention, not just for the taste but for the sheer craftsmanship.
Adding to the charm of Best Pizza is the ease of transaction – they're living in the present, accepting both cash and cards, which is a welcome nod to convenience. And for those looking to pair their slice with a drink, the selection, albeit limited, is well-curated, featuring a handful of beers and wines that are the perfect accompaniments to the pies on offer.
In a city where pizza joints are as ubiquitous as the yellow cabs, Best Pizza stands out for delivering on its name, offering an experience that’s both nostalgic and satisfyingly current. Whether you're a pizza aficionado or just in search of that classic New York slice, Best Pizza at 33 Havemeyer St delivers an experience that's worth savoring and revisiting.
It was okay, honestly it was more dough than toppings and sauce. The dough was good, thin crusty and chewy but overwhelming when the sauce was barely there. It felt like eating bread ???? Otherwise nice place, fast service
Really really really really really really really really good pizza. Like really good. Spot on. Perfect. Love it. Accommodating, lots of extra toppings that can be added on, perfect indoor pizza environment. Great for delivery, take out or in store dining. Love this place so much. Is it the best though? Yeah. It is. One of the best but still the best.
