My amazing wife took me on a date here last Friday. We fortunately got there during happy hour, so drinks were very fairly priced and the entrees were too. Our server James rocked. I had the dirty martinis, and for 3 bucks each, they were on fire delish, my wife had the strawberry gimlet. We had the sausage appetizer; it was okay. The main meal looked phenomenal; however, the taste profile was not. I found my meal to be oversalted and just not my thing; my wife experienced the same with her meal. The atmosphere was great; again, our waiter James was phenomenal. Hit this place for the cocktails during happy hour!
Lovely Italian restaurant. Chopped Salad is a must. So fresh. Dressing made in restaurant and perfect. Great selection of entrees, salads and pizza.
I was here during spring break with a group of conference attendees. It is a big space and they were able to seat our group of eight with no reservation as soon as we walked in on a Friday night at about 8 pm. The table ordered a couple of pizzas and apps to split. I, however, am vegan and ended up getting a bruschetta without the mozzarella. The topping was quite flavorful and the bread was a crunchy style, which definitely would have benefitted from the mozzarella to add a little extra fat. My fault, I know.
The menu didn't have a lot of vegan-friendly options, but there were plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. I opted to keep it simple and stick to my plate of modified bruschetta, rather than request a pizza without cheese, which could be another option for my fellow vegans out there dining with groups.
One note about service was that they accidentally brought us an incorrect pizza (an entirely different type of the menu). They immediately apologized when we pointed it out, said we could have it for free, and then went to make the correct one. Mistakes happen, especially in that loud environment. I would call that good service.
The space was quite loud. If you are dining with a large group, it is a feat to hold a conversation, but that is standard for a lot of restaurants we went to there.
The restaurant space itself is quite cool, in an old bank on a vibrant street. I wish we could have also visited the area in the morning, but at night it was a fun street to walk around and only like 7 stops on the free trolley car from the conference center.
My companions were very happy with their food and I suspect if I had been a bit more creative I could have put together another option for myself.
This place is sooo worth it ! Bruschetta has the best tomatoes ive had in a while! Beef carpaccio was mouth watering. Every dish we had was Delicious ! Have no complaints I loved everything and place is cute. Drinks were delicious! Staff was very attentive. Highly recommend ! Server could have started ( happy birthday) but she didn’t. - that’s the only thing that’s okay! lol
Saturday afternoon at 4 pm, restaurant is dead but we realize they probably have a lot of evening reservations. Thought we would try for an early dinner even without a reservation.
Service from everybody else in the establishment was great. Would love to give 5 stars but at the same time would like to give 1. The so-called host is an absolute inconsiderate jerk. We showed up at 4pm, asked for a seat and we were happy to sit at the bar or any open table if necessary because we didn’t have a reservation.
Mr. Jerk Hostess, rudely said we could sit at one spot which was completely in the sun. The only table in the indoor seating with the sun blaring down on you. There is zero spots occupied and like I said, we would have happily sat at the bar.
Why were we treated differently because we didn’t have a reservation? It was almost like we annoyed the Host. When we left, we walked outside as he was coming inside and he didn’t hold the door or even acknowledge us. Just shut the door as we were walking out.
C’mon Bernini, you can do better. We are Tampa locals and would frequent your establishment but not after being treated this way only because we didn’t have a reservation. Disappointing.
It was absolutely amazing here!! I went to Florida for my birthday and my good friend is the manager here and I Def had to come check it out!! Food, service and atmosphere was wonderful!! I'd Def go back and Def recommend it to others.
Awesome experience with my daughter before a show at the Starz. The pesto ravioli and dessert cake was incredible.
The food is always delicious here! Friend ordered the duck again and I got the filet and they were delicious. We also did a calamari appetizer and they were perfect. Emily and Hannah were our servers and they were attentive and excellent! Amazing dinner!
