The employees were rude and not helpful in navigating the menu. The bathroom was worse than a gas station bathroom. Both the men’s and women’s bathrooms stunk and were dirty. The food was ok but the atmosphere was no where near the other bento locations I’ve visited in the past. Box’s stacked in the dining room, and dirty tables everywhere. Did not have a good experience.
Akira made our night. His customer service was amazing. He took my order even advised me of other things I could add to my Poke bowl that no one has ever even gave me that option. He went above and beyond. He is an important part of your business.
This place has gone downhill. We used to come all the time when we lived here. Happened to be in town so we stopped by and wow, can’t believe what they’ve let happened to this place. Booths and chairs are covered in tears. The place is visibly dirty. It was empty with not one clean table. I had to get napkins and use the soda machine water to wet them and clean a table myself. The food was not as good as it used to be. Not as much fish and heavy on the rice. There are definitely some management issues or maybe owners just don’t care that their restaurant looks like this. Will not be back.
Bento is usually a popular and busy restaurant in Gainesville (all of their locations). This last visit was during spring break and nearly all of the tables were terribly dirty while there were *no* customers at the time of my visit (about 6pm). I had to clean my own table.
The food was great as is often the case and the staff were friendly.
Very fresh, very fast, and very tasty food. I had a rice bowl as well as a sushi roll and everything was fresh made and delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated and everyone was super friendly. We ate close to closing and tried to be respectful and leave quickly but they didn't seem at all bothered by our late arrival. My friend got a bento box and it looked absolutely divine. She thoroughly enjoyed it.
Came here and just wanted some to-go sushi. Ended up going with the special mexican roll. Nothing really notable or special about the sushi, it was on par with any other i’ve had but was pretty expensive for a fast casual restaurant. I would expect to pay these prices at an actual sushi restaurant, with a roll being $13 before tip.
Roll itself was decent. More rice than normal but the tempura was cooked well and the sauce was good. I’d recommend not getting sushi from Bento and sticking to bowls.
Just ate here for the first time! I had the shrimp and steak lo mein with extra garlic string green beans, and a roll of original cali sushi and OMG it was delicious!!! def recommend! They gave me enough shrimp and steak in it to satisfy me :) the only thing is i ordered level 2 spice and oooooof its very spicy! so next time i will go with level 1! but def 5 stars, very yummy! good job
Restaurant was dirty, I spent $80 on 2 meals and 2 sushi rolls with 2 boba drinks only to find out the only thing I actually thought taste good was the egg rolls. It’s over priced and the food is horrible. Will not go again.
