This is a must try take out only place.
I ordered a medium sized curried goat with rice & beans and steamed cabbage & carrots and it was delicious! It got fed, and filled, 2 of us.
The young guy who prepared my order was very thoughtful in putting together my food, like he was making sure he's giving me a good portion of meat and not many bones. I feel like the staff are respectful and friendly.
Will definitely consider going back the next time we're in Hartford, Ct.
Had a wonderful lunch here about a week ago. The prices are reasonable but what's more important is the meat portions. Depending on which server you get you'll get your money's worth. The woman gives way too much rice and lil meat. The food is delicious though no matter what you get. We ordered the oxtails and a small curry goat.
Best Jamaican restaurant in Hartford CT in my opinion. The food is always on point and they’re always busy. Always fresh food, and good service. This my go to spot for Jamaican food for sure.
I stopped by here en route to the airport, I ordered only a side of jerk chicken & I requested dark meat twice. I received a mix of both. I don’t like the dry thick white meat reason I requested dark. I also ordered side of plantains they were old & very dry. Jerk chicken had a decent taste but not spicy at all. I like spicy, but they do pile the chicken up. They do practice social distancing & must be masked. It was quite busy. Decent service. Will probably not return here next time in town.

Food is great and the staff after 4:30pm is great!
During the day the girl cashier is rude, disrespectful, unsanitary and acts as if you're in there begging and not actually paying for your food. I am not sure if she realizes that customers are the reason she has a job!
Benjie needs to train her to not act like you're at her back door begging or find someone else who is personable! Disgusting behavior that shouldn't be tolerated in a business.
Again, the food is great and evening staff is great (this includes the male cashier - NOT the one with dreads).
The customer service is horrible to everyone and it doesn't matter if you are Jamaican or American. They obviously do not know what good customer service is. Their food is good but there are other places to go to in Hartford.
Good food and friendly service. Curry goat and fry chicken were both pretty good. Will visit again.
