I saw the OneBite video on Belmont Pizza few months ago & liked what I saw. I've been meaning to try Florina pizza in Boston for a while & I put this one on my list as well since it's not that far. I was on vacation from work so figured now was the perfect time to take the drive out from NYC & get my Massachusetts pizza hunt underway.
First off the staff is so nice here. Both gentlemen that were working there were very nice. The pizza maker has been doing it for 26 years so you know he knows his pizza. I wanted to come here because I saw the old-school vibes inside here on the OneBite video. Seeing it in person was so cool. They still have the old sign with letters & iconic Coke sign in the middle. I believe they've been here since early 1950's.
The pizza was a beauty. So perfectly cooked with delicious cheese & not overtly thin. The taste of the dough & its flaky undercarriage reminded me of pizza hut breadsticks. I def enjoyed my visit to Belmont Pizza. I told the pizza maker I scored it an 8.7 & he was thrilled! I'll definitely be back here in the future & if you haven't been here, we'll, what're you waiting for? Go & check them out.
I've been watching Dave's videos for weeks and didn't realize he stopped by here till I got to the door and saw the sign! Well everything about it lives up to the hype. I didn't try the cheese but the pepperoni was fantastic! The owner is a very nice guy and his pizza deserves the 8.1.
Was biking and stopped because a heavenly smell was coming out of the really cute place. Got two slices- had the best two slices of my life- brought 3 more back home. Dough was crispy fluffy and light. I sometimes don't finish crusts bc they can be too dry and chewy- not the case at all for these. Melted cheese was out of what fast food pizza commercials wish they could be. Really nice folks even if I was initially intimidated by the more "towny" vibe that became just cozy. Dough was just so fragrant, need to go back. I love Stella's and fiorellas and celebrity, but this is hands down my favorite now go to. Thank you for giving me an experience with your pizza!! Edit: got two whole pizzas later too and they did not disappoint
Great sub sandwiches. And they’re so big! So you get a lot for your money. They’re always super helpful and really quick. I highly recommend the turkey sub.
Old school pizza parlor, been here forever. Ordered a LARGE Cheese pizza, (8 slices), $18.50ish. Pizza was very good, 4.5ish rating, not quite NY style, but close (think it lacked the oil), very thin crust and thin layer of sauce and cheese. I ate 4 slices and was still hungry, that's how thin the crust and cheese toppings were. (So, also, rating a bit overpriced; though, 2024 restaurant take out/in prices are high everywhere.)
It should be criminal to call those boneless buffalo wings. Absolutely disgusting, not fried at all, not breaded, basically cut up chicken breasts baked and tossed in off the shelf buffalo sauce. The pizza sucked too.
The pizza from this establishment did not meet my expectations based on the positive reviews it had received. However, the wings were quite satisfactory.
I call in my order and by the time I arrived and paid, my was ready and piping hot. I ordered pizza and wings and I can't express how fresh the wings were. They were absolutely delicious. My only thing is a little bit of seasoning for the wings. All and all the staff was very pleasant and I will go back for more.
