Tori is amazing! She has reversed my color damaged hair and has turned it into a beautiful head of soft, shiny and manageable hair with vibrant colors that last. I also loved the atmosphere of her salon - peaceful and private. I will continue to trust Tori with my hair - well worth the price! Thank you, Tori!!
My experience with Tori was very painful. First off, she makes you sign a waiver before she does your hair (super suspicious). At first I thought what has she has been through to have to reach a point to present a waiver for hair services? In the end, I found out the hard way. After my experience, I went back and filtered out the few bad reviews and saw how she responded and that pretty much nails it on the head. She doesn't take ownership for her mistakes. Instead she says people are lying. In my case, the haircut and the color was nothing as I had shown her in my pictures but it was my fault because she was an expert colorist for many decades and she gave me exactly what I asked for. When I showed her a face that was shocked and upset at how extremely different my hair was from what I had wanted, that was enough to trigger her to become aggressive, accusatory and very mean. She started yelling that she knew what I was up to and that she was done with me. She thought I was going to foot the bill which was super alarming to me about her history with other clients. I reasoned with her, asked if we could meet in the middle and kept things polite as much as I was upset. In the end, when she told me she wanted to overcharge me $450, I nearly had a heart attack. She brought it down to $375 and I ate it. I went home, showered my hair because I hated it and cried. Aside from that, I was already skeptical when I saw how messy her salon was. Her color boxes were all over the place and disorganized, she was pulling things out of the sink to use, she sprayed water all over my face. When she re-did my color after my complaint, she nearly burnt me with the hot iron when styling it cause she was so mad at me. I didn't follow my gut when I walked in and saw that I was more like in an auntie's cluttered den than it was a salon. Nothing salon about it. There were haircut magazines from the 80's scattered about. I hope that Tori can learn to be more kind to people who are not out to hurt her but just are hurt themselves at her not listening to what the client's needs are and yelling at them when she does a bad job is not good customer service. I felt bullied and attacked and left traumatized by the whole experience. It was the worst hair experience of my life.
Every time I go on vacation, I seem to need to get my hair done. This lead me to Belle Toi Salon. Tori was able to immediately identify what I didn't like about my hair. She then gave me the best color of my life. I was the priciest I've ever done, but worth it. She knows her stuff.
Call to schedule appt for haircut she quickly got me in with no hassles. I've been going to Belle Toi for years and have only gotten warm welcomes, great hair tips and fabulous looking hair. Tori is extremely talented and by far the best hair stylist on the island. Having been a New Yorker and know what a good haircut looks like, i say this with confidence. Tori is the best hairdresser out here. Everyone I recommend is satisfied and happy with results. Don't believe the haters!
Tori is pure magic. She made me feel so beautiful and took the time to explain what my hair needed and how she could accomplish it. She listened and spent time making certain that my already damaged hair would come out better and healthier and better than the original color I used have. If you want the best, you have to go see Tori. I cannot thank her enough. Do not waste your time or money anywhere else, this woman is so awesome!!!!
After fifteen plus years of dying my hair black, I decided to go blonde again. I initially went to the "color queen" who claimed to know what she was doing, but clearly did not. She turned my hair orange and fried it. I called Belle Toi after reading many of the great reviews and I am sooo glad I did. Tori saved my hair and gave it the beautiful color I was hoping for. She listened to all my concerns and stayed until almost 9pm so that she could get my hair just right. I can't thank her enough for the hard work she put in that day. I'm so happy to finally find a hair stylist that actually knows what she is doing and cares about the result for her clients. Thank you Tori!
Tori is amazing! This is the fourth different place I’ve had my hair cut in Hilo & I had so much stress from some of the botched hair cuts I’ve received on island. Tori took extra time to explain exactly what our plan was for my hair and I really appreciated her understanding! She asked me SO many questions to make sure it would turn out exactly how I wanted (we kept my hair length but went 2 shades darker & added oil treatment for my dry ends). She is the perfect balance of professional but keeps it real. P.s. DO not be intimidated by how the building looks - the spa is a little oasis inside ????❤️.
