Decent, overpriced, pizza, and nauseating customer service. Here we go again, I acknowledge that I’m wrong for coming back here, (you know: “fool me once...”, etc..), after being accused of presenting a counterfeit coupon.
I’m all about second chances, and Beggars does, usually, have good food. The customer service seems to be intentionally bad, based on my experience and some recent reviews. Maybe they came up with a new Theme “Beggar’s, we treat our loyal customers like Bums.” Like a bootleg Weiner’s Circle, without the awareness.
I don’t have any other explanation for such contemptable service.
I deleted the previous negative review and started coming back right before the holidays. Recently, I ordered a large sausage and half green olives. My online receipt confirms that I ordered it as I intended and designated the pizza to be cooked “regular”.
I arrived at 712pm to pick up a order that was due at 711pm and was told to come back in 10 minutes (no problems here.) I came back picked up my order got home and the pizza was almost fully burned and had olives all over it (see photos). I called, was put in contact with the manager, and I started to explain the situation. As I was talking, he interrupted me saying “I can’t take it back if any of it is missing!"
I explained to him that I had not eaten any, and he told me he would remake the pizza in a half hour. When I pulled up to exchange the pizza, he and another employee stood at the window talking for a few seconds, while staring at me through the glass before they opened the window, took the original pizza came back a few minutes later, and told me to come back in 20 minutes.
I got no apology, no acknowledgment that my order was wrong, and no regard for my time and expense incurred because of their mistake. This review will not be deleted under any circumstance. Their pathetic customer service needs to be called out.
There are no servers. My friend and I did not know this as we traveled from Glenwood. We had to place our order at a counter, pay for it and was told to have a seat and it would be brought out to us. We were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. It took almost an hour to receive a deep dish pizza with turkey sausage, green peppers, onions and mushrooms. The pizza was delicious but there was very little meat. We also ordered 6 chicken wings to take back home for later eating. The chicken wings were very small and not whole. They were in pieced. Also, we had to buy bottled water as since there were no servers. Such a rip off. We will NOT be back
We visited this place from Minnesota and let me tell y’all. They did not disappoint. The food was good. The pizza was cheesy and soooooooooooooo good We came in late and they still allowed me and my best friend to sit and dine all alone in the dining room before close and we appreciated it, if you are visiting Richton park Illinois do not Without getting you some pizza thank me later!
Update: After getting an undercooked pizza 4 weeks ago. I ordered an individual deep dish on Doordash tonight. They sent me another undercooked pizza ????????♀️ what is going on? You sent raw pork! It’s pink! It could send someone to the hospital. Beggars in Richton you all have been off lately. This business is usually not that bad. But raw pork???
I really liked them even with their inconsistencies. But really can’t deal with the poor quality. Pizza toppings shifted. Cardboard soaked in grease sticking to pizza. This is 2 out of 3 orders.
I've heard a lot great things. Was on a road trip and stopped in. No servers but we ordered at the counter and pizza was amazing the Italian sandwich was also good. ????
This is little Ceaser quality pizza, this is not how I remember it, the pizza was horrible the toppings just falls off the pizza and the wings taste store bought just dipped in sauce, I rather not mention the spaghetti…. To sum it up 67 dollars worth of trash.
I got a large 3 topping pizza with sausage mushrooms and gardinera.
Also I got a 12 wing and decided to try the parmesan galic wings. The pictures aren't the best depiction on how it looks and taste because my house has bad lighting but the food was really good fresh and hot and I would definitely get the wings again.
