Best WLM Reviews

I'd give this six stars if I could. An absolute gem in the Destin tourist hellscape. Small, intimate dining room, with outdoor seating. All amazing water views. Incredible food, incredible service. We went for our 11th anniversary, a 6p seating (in April) guaranteed we were able to catch the sunset. Recommend!!!
Such great food, calm atmosphere with a great view, and fantastic service.
Ate here for breakfast and dinner each day of our stay, and enjoyed every minute.
Unfortunately, we did not have the best experience the night we ate at Beach Walk Cafe. Especially unfortunate because we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. We arrived early for our reservation and asked if we could be seated outside. We waited over a half hour for a table (which was no problem) but then were seated at the very back end of the porch with no view except a large fridge or ice machine of some sort. we decided to just sit side-by-side so we could still face the water. We sat for quite a long while before a server came to the table. We placed a drink order and waited about 20 minutes to get our drinks. When the drinks finally arrived we have been there for over an hour and still hadn't had a bite of food and were quite hungry. Noticing that other tables were served bread as soon as they were seated I inquired about getting some bread. The server seemed a little surprised by my request and left quickly. She brought the bread and did not ask if we were ready to order, just left and did not come back. I finally had to stop another server and ask her why our server had not returned and that we would like to place our food order. She apologized and said she would find our server. Several minutes later our server came to our table and apologized and stated they were short-staffed, and she was running all over, etc. This was not true as most of the restaurant was not occupied and there were several servers working. We had also observed our server regularly visiting other tables and seemed to be avoiding ours. We finally place our food order and a full hour and a half after arriving were served our food. We made the best of the experience and realize that it was probably not typical for a place with such high reviews and quality, but regardless we will likely not return.
We were staying at the Henderson Park Inn, bed and breakfast for several nights, and from our balcony could smell the aroma each night from the kitchen of the Beach Walk. It was almost as amazing as the sunsets, and ocean waves breaking!
Our last night we left the beach and went to the desk to make reservations, to late for anything out side till 8pm! We settled for 5pm bye the window.
We were the first to arrive, the wife had mixed green salad, with walnuts and strawberries, snapper, corn risotto I had shrimp cocktail, grouper, green beans and we shared a side of Brussels sprouts cooked perfectly. Service was great, food was excellent, a wonderful meal and experience, atmosphere.
The restaurant has a clean, personable and quaint atmosphere. There are only 12 tables inside the restaurant which gives the team the ability to focus on quality rather than quantity. The ceviche is a great balance of acidity and freshness without the overpowering taste of fish. The bleu cheese wedge was a good start; the dressing was somewhat light which balanced the maytag bleu cheese tang. The snapper was excellent! Mushroom and corn risotto was cooked perfectly. The grouper was well prepared and seasoned to perfection. Who knew one could fry mashed potatoes; I certainly did not. The entrees were cared for from start to finish. The presentation and the flavors (paired well) are cohesive and is one of the few places I have had the pleasure of visiting that earned their five star review. The service- our waters never were empty, and the service team was knowledgeable. Pre-bussing the tables, and correct placement of the dishes (never give your guest the should when setting a plate down)? What a rarity that is today!!! The servers were there to do the job but gave the customers privacy to indulge in the intimacy of each others’ company.
The views were lovely and if you step outside; you get to experience the backyard your spouse promised you long ago!
The food was absolutely delicious. Every bit of food was cooked to perfection. Service was friendly and polite. SUGGESTION to Management: you need to hire a minimum of one more server. Your servers are delightful people; however, they are over stretched. I had to get up to get water for the table.
Service was excellent and the view of the sunset from inside and out of the cafe is wonderful for a date night with that soecial someone. Food was very tasty! Will definitely return. A note is if sitting inside against the windows it can get tight, I had a gentleman behind me and his chair was against mine and I could feel when he laughed ???? though in his defense, if he scooted closer to his table he probably wouldn't be able to breathe and it was the same for me! We ordered their version of Ceviche and had Bread Pudding with Ice Cream for dessert.
The dinner is good, but the Ruth's Chris pricing is way to much for what you get.
The breakfast was mediocre, ok, but once again, the prices are way to high for what you get.
The service is amazing and the whole place is beautiful and worth the stay.
The only complaint is the prices.
