Came here because my wife's cousin is a server and we were in the area, ended up being in the top 5 meals I've had for what it cost. The duck wonton, smokey old fashioned, and steak sandwich were all perfect. Great music, food, and atmosphere.
First visit. Small restaurant and you should get a reservation. Good happy hour specials. They have an excellent wine list. The house wine was just ok. I tried the truffle pizza and was very pleased.

The menu is tiny so in my opinion, you don’t come here because you’re famished- you go to BB’s because you have an affinity for the cute and the quaint. It’s kind of like a place for “collectors”; it’s for people who need great ambiance.
The dress is fairly casual but you’ll feel much more confident if you wear one of your trendiest outfits and your favorite fragrance. The clientele will notice and shower you with compliments when you do because they appreciate that you appreciate the vibe.
If you are a foodie though, you’ll be thoroughly intrigued AND satisfied by the cake bar- so much to choose from!
They have the absolute BEST BREAD PUDDING I’ve ever had in public… HANDS DOWN!!!
They have creative (albeit fried) tapas that are quite reasonably priced as well as a small variety of salads in the $20 range.
But again, come here for the ambiance and the bread pudding.

This place just understands what a great restaurant and successful business is… from amazing customer service, to actual service to quality and taste of their food… and then to better than they should be desserts, BB’s is our go to for many reasons. Jessica, one of the managers, has always answered the call no matter what the need and request is. She is consistent and we have worked with her now for many years. Whether it’s dinner for 2 or 40… she is spot on and makes sure everything is set. Always recommend and very happy to dine there when we can!
I've been a faithful patron of bb's for years now, and I'm just getting around to writing a review.
What can I say? They're one of the best and most consistent restaurants in the city.
I think the best way to describe bb's is small, but mighty. The restaurant itself is not a large space. It would definitely behoove you to make a reservation. The service is always stellar, and the food is phenomenal. I've never had a bad meal at bb's.
Two of my favorites are the beef short rib served over mashed potatoes with broccolini. And the seared diver scallops over wild mushroom risotto. Delicious is ab understatement.
They also have a pretty extensive wine list and an awesome, large selection of desserts housed in a cold case for your choosing. You can not go wrong with bb's. Highly recommend for a date night.
Exceptional place, the final price is justified. Jordan W our server was very attentive and suave. For the food we had the salmon wontons - the filling was good but the wonton itself was a little too fried. The complimentary bread was very fresh and delicious. The salad was ok. Now for the main entrees we got the chocolat demi glaze filet, which was absolutely terrific, the filet was tender and melted in my mouth, the chocolat demi had a hint of chocolate and a tang of demi, loved it. The parmesan crusted salmon i cannot speak for as I did not have it but I am sure it was also good! All in all I will definitely bookmark this place as I must return for the desert!
BB’s is an institution. You can ALWAYS stop in and enjoy their desserts. They just have anything and everything you might want to eat for sweets. So yum!
I’ve enjoyed their weekend brunch, weekday lunch, and weekday dinner menu a few times. I try to get a “special” for dinner because I know it’s going to be a real special. IYKYK. The restaurant has such a great interior. It’s earthy and cozy, but big enough to know that they are ready for the coming crowds. Go ahead and make a reservation. Like. Today. This is a restaurant in Jacksonville that cannot possibly disappoint you. The food will be wonderful, the service will be stellar, and you’ll leave happy. That’s just what they do.
