Wedding Photographer's Review: Just yesterday I the pleasure of photographing an unforgettable wedding at Battello. It was my first occasion working at this venue and the entire experience exceeded any expectations I had when approaching this new location. Helping to coordinate the celebration, Tammy, Megan & Mike (including the rest of the staff) of Battello were nothing less than exceptional —attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. They were always there for the slightest need of the newlywed couple without being the least bit intrusive (a rare balance of attentiveness & awareness).
Regarding photos, the view of the city skyline was absolutely stunning and provided a perfect backdrop for plenty of pictures on location. Offering more than just a pretty skyline view however, this venue is within a brief walking distance to a quaint park which has plenty of shade (invaluable for hot days) and beautiful foliage/greenery —helping to add a bit of variety & color to the type of photos available.
As a photographer who has attended many venues, I can say that the Battello’s dining experience was top tier (beautifully presented and bursting with flavor). If you're looking for a venue that combines spectacular views, mouth-watering cuisine, and top-notch service, Battello is the perfect choice. Highly recommended!
We came for dinner and honestly we wish we would’ve come here a lot sooner as it may just have become our favorite place to dine in Jersey City! We ordered the focaccia, yellowfin tuna tartare, squid ink campanelle, lumache alla vodka, and got the sicilian summer on their cocktail menu and everything was fantastic. Definitely worth the visit, pasta al dente, super flavorful, and huge plus on the pastas coming out HOT!
This is my second time at Battello. I absolutely loved the Spanish octopus appetizer. So, coming back I already knew I was getting this octopus. This is time is was different from the cook to the bean salad. First time the octopus had a nice char. Don’t get me wrong it was still good just different, maybe a different chef. For the main I had the ricotta gnocchi which was delicious. The views are amazing and the service is top notch. Definitely a must try when in the area!
Amazing food! The gnocchi and vodka pasta were delicious as was the seafood pasta. The Burrata and beet salad appetizer was very tasty and so was the shrimp. Order the foccaia bread with the honey butter, you won't regret it
Beautiful restaurant next to the water. This restaurant has one of the best views of NEW York. We went on a Thursday so they had really nice live music, which made the night super enjoyable. I like that they have the option of ordering a small or regular size pasta plate. Really recommend the scallops, it was our favorite dish.
I just got married at Battello last weekend and I can not speak more highly of literally everything that went into making our wedding the perfect day. Dominique made the planning process so easy from the get-go, and on the day-of, the bridal attendant Tammy went above and beyond to do just about anything and everything to make sure the entire event went smoothly. The food was fantastic, service was 12/10 (all our guests were texting us to say they were so impressed) and the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. Battello also gifted us with personalized, special touches throughout the day which gave us things we can cherish for years to come. For anyone looking for a wedding venue that isn't cookie cutter, with incredible food and memorable service, look no further.
Attended a wedding here recently and it was fantastic. The food was great, the venue itself was beautiful, and the service was just as premium. Probably one of the best cocktail hours I've been to. Ate way too much!
The portion size is a little smaller than other places but the i really loved the taste and the ambience here. The burrata here is fab. Desserts are quite limited and not worth the money but the food here was very tasty specially the gnocchi
