Fantastic experience with a down home auto care company. I pulled in and was handled immediately by Harry and his staff before I could finish my enchiladas next door they had finished.
But the little things count too!
Topped off all my fluids and make sure my tires were at the proper setting I strongly recommend using these people
My wife and I started our 990 mile trip home and caught a nail in our front drivers side tire. We asked for advice from the Walterboro Autozone store and they immediately sent us to see Harry at Basic Auto giving us directions to get there. They even called ahead for us. The shop was full of vehicles, and a customer pulled in ahead of us and 2 more pulled in after us. Harry came right out and greeted us, he sent a mechanic out in minutes to get our keys, never mentioned a cost of repair. He returned just minutes later and told us our car was good to go and to have a safe trip. He never charged us so I gave a tip. Thank you Harry! We are home safely and our tire ran like new!
We were heading to Florida, and stopped for the night when we heard a loud clicking noise around our right front tire. We stopped at the Comfort Inn, but I wanted to get it looked at before getting back on Rt95. Worried about a long delay finding a mechanic, I looked up and saw Basic Auto. The reviews were good.
Chris and his mechanic could not have been nicer. I brought the car there at 8:00 am and he took me right in. Got me fixed at a fair price. The car ran great and we made it home. Thank you Chris and his employees.
I was driving and something flung at me tore my bumper off, we are over 300 some miles from home and 300 some more miles to Flordia and I called Basic Auto and he said come on now he was about to close. He waited on us and he fixed it so we can.continue our trip and make it back home safely. God truly blessed us because he didn't even charge us.....thank you so much for your help. As we began our 800 mile trip from Edisto, SC to New York, we found a puncture in one of our horse trailer tires. Basic Auto opened at 7:30, before any of the others, and they told us to come right in. When we arrived they began helping us without delay. With two horses on the trailer, they patched the tire with a high quality plug from the inside. We were on the road in short order. Basic Auto provides professional, prompt, and friendly service at a good price. If we lived near Walterboro Basic would be our go-to shop. Highly recommended.
Awesome customer service! My family and I are traveling to Florida from Virginia and hit a piece of tire on the interstate 10 miles before we got to our hotel in Waterford. Ot caused some damage to the bumper and we lost a piece of it as well as our signal light. My bestie called around and got Basic Auto. She explained our situation to the gentleman who answered the phone. He stated he was about to close but told us to come on down. He greeted up with a smile and fixed us right up. He didn't charge us a thing! This much needed act of kindness did not go unappreciated!
Well since I have managed mechanic shops for over 25 years , I think he has come to a new town and is moving up very fast. This is not a good town to open up a shop unless you know everybody and from here but he is doing a great job.
Mr Harry is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. He is always helpful and honest. He will always have my business.
