Best WLM Reviews
Pro:
1) its next to the hotel easy to get food
Con:
1) the strawberry Lmn Sangria Pit .. Was recommend by our server saying the the number 1 seller. The drink tasted like you just pour premix and added fruits .. "think juice box"
2) food was very inconsistency.. I order the pasta and my other friend order the same thing.. My bowel has half the amount of pasta while the other bowel had more. My other friend order fish and chip and too much oil fry in beer battered.
3) Our server was ok but when she stop by our table and ask my friend if she wanted to box and she said no.. and you see a full plate .. didn't ask " did the food taste , if you didn't like it we offer something else"
4) your round table in the booth.. its too big there was no space to sit comfortable.. bring in smaller round table.
5) When I close out our tab.. I saw there was a 18% Gratuity
when i ask the server said it been like this for a whole year and there a sign in the front.
So here our my thoughts for the owners:
1)If you post a sign maybe you should just have one message and putting next to the hand sanitizer and the other sign its just not clear.. Most people walk in and does notices, if you check the review from other people they didn't notice it when walking in
And the sign have 3 different color.
I didnt notice the sign.
2) Bar Louie .. COV-19 event is over and charging a 18% fee to everyone coming ,
Bar Louie , you file for chapter 11 bankruptcy and you have all your guest paying a service of 18% and you wonder what happen to your traffic?
Its a simple fix .. mystery shop go to every one of your bar and order food and drink and different serve. When food get better tasting and server service is consistence.. then you get back traffic.
Also when the server get gratuity 18% tip no matter how the service is ... You start losing customer...
Also remember in my order , we order beer and pitcher sangria and you know that's high margins. So can you explain why you need me to pay an extra 18% , when you already made beer tap margin about 200% to 300 % and the sangria pitcher was over 13% margin ?
I have included picture to show proof I was there.
We went in twice while staying in the hotel, and both times were ignored by the bartender girls even though the bar was not busy at all.
The first night we only ordered pretzel bites, which were good, and couple drinks. While the alcoholic drinks were good, the nonalcoholic cocktails are just loaded with sugar and barely drinkable.
The second night was much worse. We sat at the bar and again had to wait for the bartender to come up to us even though she clearly saw us. When she eventually made her way to us she just asked what we’d like, and seemed nearly offended when asked for drinks menus. When we got the menu we expected her to come back after a couple minutes, but she ended up flirting (we could hear the conversation) with some guy that stopped by the bar just to chat with her. We eventually got our order taken, got our drinks, but then again it took ages for her to stop by while we were just sitting there with empty glasses. We just asked for the check at that point.
Seriously, with this kind of terrible service this place should be ashamed to still ask for tips for their servers when they already automatically apply some percentage to the check.
The service was horrendous as the waitress ignored us. We had to grab our own menus and after waiting 10 minutes in a resteraunt that was not busy flagged her down.
We had to retrieve our own drinks from the bar.
The food was late arriving to the table and was cold.
The steak fries was uncut and well done and tasted like shoe leather with no flavor. It tasted as if it was microwaved.
Another member of my party ordered chicken nachos that had no chicken and a severe lacking of cheese.
While the shrimp that was ordered was underdone and cold.
This hotel bar is terrible in every way. Stay away.
I wish it could give it zero stars.
Had the Monterey chicken dinner and it was delicious!!!
Subtle, natural and light tasting and so hearty. This meal hit the spot.
My first home cooked and balanced meal since being on the road and so glad I chose this dish.
Great and attentive service and clean establishment.
Thank You.
While the wait staff was nice enough, they were somewhat scarce, especially for the bar/restaurant area to only be half full.
I ordered the Pretzel bite appetizer and Buffalo Mac & Cheese, and while it looked incredible, the mac was swimming in liquid. Not creamy, cheesy liquid like I was hoping for, but thin, milky liquid. I was pretty diappointed. The buffalo chicken on it was right, but it didn't redeem the dish.
The pretzel bites were good, although they could have used a bit more salt, and the beer cheese dipping sauce was good.
Aside from that I had a strawberry lemonade drink that was made with pomegranate instead of strawberries because, well, they were out of strawberries. It was supposed to be garnished with mint, but instead it primarily consisted of mint and thusly, that's what it tasted like...a mint vodka drink.
My wife ordered a burger w/ fried pickles, and it was delicious! Her drink was a mixed berry margarita (pomegranate instead of strawberries again) and it was WAY too strong. She couldn't get past the first few sips.
Lastly, be prepared to pay a tip of 18% no matter what, as it was automatically added to our ticket.
Overall, a mixed review, but DEFINITELY not worth $100, even for a hotel restaurant.
I been staying at the hotel for a week now an decided to try the food downstairs at the bar. I got mine Togo but definitely wasn't disappointed. Pricey but it was worth it. I got the chicken parm grilled cheese. With the sauce on the side to dip in with tater tots. Absolutely delicious food.
Love the atmosphere and the music. Sat at the bar and one of the bartenders, Vanessa I think her name was, was very attentive and very quick to get everything I asked for all while serving a full bar at the same time. On top of that, the food was great!
The bar is by far the best feature of this hotel. However, it's still lacking.
Server told I had 10 minutes to order happy hour and then didn't check back for 13 minutes. She did allow me to order still. All night the service was slow.
Calamari was 100% bar food. Very well done. But still good enough for the price. The sauce was delicious.
Loaded tots were ok. A bit greasy. But again, bar food. The sauce was limited, 4 slices of jalapenos, and a bit of bacon crumbs on top.
One server tried to take my whiskey when it was half full which caught me off guard.
Maybe the biggest problem here was my expectation. Bottom line. It's a bar.
