Food was good. I had the satay and green curry. Was suprised the curry wasnt served with rice. The chicken in the curry was over cooked. The veggies had the texture of frozen veggies added to a hot stock before serving. AND the dish was missing bamboo shoots. But the rest of the flavors were good.
Great food & great service. I could literally eat here every single day.
Straight bangers up in this joint. Them bbq ribs are the size of dinosaur bones. Always tender and delicious. Larb salad is always on point. Golden shrimp are an absolute must. Radnah, so good you’ll slap your mama. If you want spicy, trust me, they got you.
Stopped here for lunch to try a new place. I had the spicy fried rice with chicken and it was great! The owner also came out and gave me a glass of water unprompted because I assume she saw me struggling with the spicy food ????
I love the food here! My favorite dishes are the Drunken noodles,
Pad See ew, Pad Thai (VERY flavorful, so depends on your preference but I LOVE it) and definitely the chicken fried rice. I don't know what's in the fried rice but it's so amazing. It's has very simple ingredients but the smoky flavor and onions really compliment each other so well. I dare say it's the best fried rice dish I've ever had. Even my dog loves the fried rice and follows me around every time we buy them. So happy I gave this place a try, I've been a regular ever since the quarantine! Highly recommend everyone to give the food a try. Just FYI, the fried rice that comes with the lunch special is NOT THE SAME as their regular fried rice dish. The fried rice that comes with the lunch special is just a basic fried rice with egg. The one I'm raving about is the regular chicken fried rice entree.
The yellow curry and rice is a favorite of ours. It is nearby, fresh, and delicious. Service is excellent, and prices are reasonable. All in all, I've never been disappointed here.
Addendum for 2023, my family has since moved from the area, and every time we come back, Balboa Thai is a mandatory stop! We still love it and return as often as we can. There is no comparable Thai food where we are now.
Service was fine, food was prepared and served in a timely manner. I've ordered beef with mint leaves and basil and pad prig king with pork and I can't tell the difference because bell peppers are included in the entree! I don't recall having bell pepper being more than half of the ingredients in any Thai entree...
Service was fast and the Panang Kai was aloy-macma. The lunch special was a bit small.
