Nia our waitress was awesome! Now let’s talk about the food! Best collards ever! I got the classic burger and you can tell the meat was fresh! So tasty and the bun grilled perfectly! We had the potato skin app and tried the gator sauce after the initial shock of the color I couldn’t get enough!!! Hubby had the wings and was very impressed!!!! Homemade ranch was the bomb! A+! Definitely try this place if you haven’t! We will go there anytime we’re in town! We don’t get food this good often while traveling for work!
I'm Cajun and from Louisiana and I have to say the hushpuppies are the best I've ever had. Love coming here to get a taste of home. We already ate half our meal by the time I remembered to take photos
Food wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The mashed potatoes and gravy were instant, the catfish and flounder were both paper thin. If you're looking for actual Cajun food, this ain't it. The mixed drinks were neither made well, nor even what we asked for. The Mac and cheese and fried okra were good. Prices disproportionate to portion sizes or quality. We will never go back.
This place is Cajun themed and the food shows it. I ordered the Gator Po Boy and though tasty the Gator tail bites were tough. I won’t order that again. I do intend to return to this restaurant as I believe the menu merits further attention. Especially the grilled fish.
Shrimp po boy was pitiful, no flavor, and just bad. The hamburger steak was definitely not worth the price, small portions and the mashed potatoes were instant potatoes and tasted like cardboard. Service was exteremly sow and there were only 3 tables with customers. We waited over 45minutes just to get our food.
I came here while in town on business, the restaurant is attached to the hotel I was staying at and was highly recommended by the lady at the front desk. It doesn't look like much on the outside but inside it has a pretty nice setup with a good size restaurant area and a separate room where the bar is located. I went with three co-workers and everyone was pleased with their food and service. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. The only things I was unhappy with are that they are closed on Monday and you can't get frog legs as a side, only an entree. The gator bites were awesome! I definitely recommend checking this place out for a taste of Louisiana in Virginia.
Food was satisfying, albeit a little pricy. Overall a fine experience up until I learned that the staff fraudulently overcharged a tip to my bill which I had to dispute– cashier was Nerra who was otherwise nice.
Really enjoyed this place! Was traveling for work and stopped in for dinner. I had the Mississippi Piggy. A burger topped with pulled pork and coleslaw. Great atmosphere and the staff was great to talk to.
