I went here with my son to get simple pop smoke braids not only did we wait for 2 hours because the girl was at the beauty supply store my son was so disappointed with the outcome of these braids. Just looking at them there’s so many things wrong with this especially when you pay for someone to do a professional job. Never ever again. We came home and took them out immediately such a waste of money.
I was very disappointed I made an appt a week in advance for 930 for Tuesday on the day of the appt I called her 3 times a half hr before the appt. On the third call she says she is on her way n this was at 945. I get there at 955 and she takes another customer and starts braiding their hair saying this is my friend. Then I had to wait for another hair braider so rude I could not leave a tip.
My 15 Year old granddaughter brought in a picture of how she wanted her hair. They said they can do it. The braids she wanted were a nice natural size. However they attached humongous braids on small sections of her hair. The amount of hair they attached to each small section was very unhealthy to hold from her scalp. When my granddaughter called me to tell me this, I called them immediately to inform them they are not doing her hair like the picture she showed them. The woman was yelling at me saying “there’s a PICTURE then there’s REALITY” ?!— SAY WHAT ??? You are being paid to do her hair like she asked - not the way you feel like doing it. If you couldn’t do it like she requested , then say
“ I can’t do it”. By this time her hair was only half done and they knew my granddaughter was going home to take them out but they had the nerve to still charge her $90. THIRSTY!!!! Which is half price of the full style she requested. BOTTOM LINE : BAD SERVICE!!! so They definitely lost a customer I hope that $90 was worth it to you!! Learn to do hair in a healthy style. Why do you guys always add a ton of heavy hair knowing it’s hazardous to the scalp????? VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!!!!!! YOU LOST ONE!!
B B has been doing my hair for 20 years and my daughter who is now 10 since she was 9 months. She's very knowledgeable on how to treat your own hair not just another African braiding place!!! We love her!
They do a great job with box braids and twists, would recommend!
Professional, know what they are doing..felt comfortable. I definitely am going there again..did exactly what i asked for. I'm very happy with my braids... not dangerously tight either.
I booked a appointment for me and my daughter. I was getting large box braid and cornrows in a side pony tail for my daughter. I get there at 3:30 on the dot. I walk in the shop there are two women doing hair. They start talking in a African language and then asks me in English how can I help you? I say me and my daughter has an appointment at 3:30 pm. They again start talking in their language. Then the other woman says to me “The lady who was supposed to do your hair ain’t here”. Mind you I never got a phone call or text to cancel my appointment, while the woman I spoke to took my name and number at the time I made my appointment. I said ok so how long until someone else can do it she says she has about 3 hour wait and the other lady has a 5 hour wait! I said unbelievable. And I left. This place made me feel so angry. I’m a black female and the fact they spoke only in their language when talking about me and my appointment made me feel like they were discriminating me and my daughter. I’ll kindly take my 400$ else where!
I booked an appointment for knotless braids. They took my number. I get to the salon at the agreed upon time and it's closed. I called and she (I have no clue who picked up) tells me she's on her way. When they finally open I walk in and I'm told "She had to cancel because something came up but I can do it after I do this weave". There I stand dumbfounded because I drove all the way there and prepped my hair. In my mind mind I'm like why didn't you call? I would have no problem coming later if you had called ahead.
Needless to say I won't be back and I can't speak on their work. They potentially lost what could have been a loyal customer.
