I’ve been coming to Drew and crew for some years now. First with my Audi B8 wagon and now with my Audi SQ5. They take good care of you and will tell you how much and when. I had a freak thing happen with my timing belt and had to make an extended warranty claim. They handled everything. From the claim to the absolutely insane repair. It took some time but it was done right. I cannot say enough good things about this shop and this crew. They are one of the best in the country. Be sure and hook them up with ice cream, treats and bevies, and remember, you get what you pay for. Nice cars cost money to maintain, and doing business in Truckee/Tahoe is expensive, seasonal and challenging. Avant Werks delivers.
I showed up to Avant with my 2014 sprinter van. I was sent their from a shop around the corner who told me that drew was the DOCTOR of sprinters. They were not wrong. My van was generating no power and the check engine light was on. This was 9 hours into a multi-way trip. Drew helped us out immediately. While doing so he explained to me in detail what was happening and how to avoid further complications.
Not only was he informative but also fast. He got me out in less then an hour with all problems fixed even gave me a light bulb for one of my front lamps for free. Since then i have put on roughly 2500 miles and drove about 45 hours not a single problem.

Beyond 5 stars. Had an issue with my Audi, had it towed into the shop, the crew got me in right away, fixed my car, told me what else needed to be done with maintenance, gave me a loaner for the afternoon, and gave me a discount.
Drew, Greg, Will, and the rest of the crew at Avant Werks know cars, drive the cars they wrench on, and are good people. Honest and hardworking.

Got the APR Stage 1 Tune for my MK6 Jetta done here. That 1.8T definitely purrs now! Staff is friendly, helpful, and willing to answer any questions you might have as best as they can. The shop owner is very open and thorough in his explanations. They did a damn good job on my daily.
Loved every part of the service experience….from being greeted by Jay and having my car service scheduled, to being checked out by Drew and having him go over every part of the service including pictures and recommendations for anything else that needed attention. I felt they were extremely qualified and honest, and I’m so glad to have found a great place to have my car serviced!

5 star customer service! Jay went above and beyond for me even though the shop wasn't able to work on my vehicle. I am not from the Truckee area and when my car started making an awful grinding noise on my evening commute home I knew I couldn't continue to drive it. Panicking, I googled auto shops near me. Avant Werks was the first one I saw not realizing that it's strictly a European auto shop. When I called the shop the next morning to see if they got my vehicle Jay took the time to explain why they wouldn't be able to work on it. Then he offered to relocate my vehicle to a shop who could work on my vehicle at no charge to me. It saved me time, money and my sanity! I can't thank you enough Jay!!
Drew from Avant Werks once again went above and beyond when our EuroVan had engine, air flow, and throttle issues only a couple of days before a planned camping trip. He squeezed us into his busy schedule, worked on Saturday until late at night, and even continued Sunday morning to finish the repairs. When he gave me an update via text message at 9 pm on Saturday night and I said that I feel bad about him working so late on our car, his response was:
“Getting you and the fam back in the T4 gives me joy, accomplishment, satisfaction, and purpose! Have a good night! Talk to you in the morning.” I have never experienced anything like that at another repair shop. Combined with genuine VW parts and Drew’s exceptional expertise, this service at Avant Werks in priceless! He also identified and fixed several other issues that previous shops had missed or not properly repaired. Although it’s far from home, we’ll have all our EuroVan services and repairs done at Avant Werks from now on. I highly recommend Drew and his team, simply outstanding!
