I just had my first visit to this salon, and I had the pleasure of having Joana work on my hair. She’s a wonderful, kind, professional, and talented stylist, and I’m certain I’ll be back to Avalon Beauty Salon for her services. The salon is a 10 out of 10. The atmosphere was so peaceful and the energy was awesome. This was my first time at this location and Sarah was awesome!!! She did magnificent work and I’m a full client as of Saturday. I love this shop. My braids are well executed. This was a great find and I’m blessed with knowing the salon is well managed and maintained.
Ana is amazing, felt right at home there. I didn’t know if i wanted to cut so much hair off and Ana knew i was hesitant and reassured me we don’t have to cut any length off she did beautiful layers on my hair, i love having my natural black long hair so hearing that i was relieved. I almost slept when she styled my hair it was so calming for me. I’ll be going back, for sure, and definitely recommending.
I have been going to this salon for about six months. She does a great job caring for my hair. She is fast but yet careful; it is very evident that she has been styling hair for quite some time. I really value great service, someone who will help me care for my hair. If that is you, then I highly recommend.
Had a appointment at 1pm and was on time but she put someone in front of me on the schedule then said come back in 30min but still wasn’t finished…I’m still waiting to get my hair done
Avalon Beauty Salon is amazing. Mrs Joanna is a gem. I came to the salon a few months ago. My hair was very damaged and I just wanted a chance to begin again. Not only did Mrs Joanna cut my hair and styled me. She began treating my hair to fix the damage. Now fast forward months later my hair is growing and looks so much more healthy. I can't thank Mrs. Joanna enough. Avalon Beauty Salon is awesome and Mrs Joanna is a gem.
I brought my 15 year old daughter here today for a deep condition, trim, and flat iron. My daughter is biracial and Joana gave me advice on how to properly care for her hair. She is very nice person and showed me some natural products that would work well for her hair type, taking her time to explain when and how often to use them. Her salon was very clean and she appears to be the only one working in the salon. I will DEFINITELY be back.
Highly Recommend!!!! I have been looking for a black hair salon for awhile for me and my 13 year old daughter. My hair is currently in a bad state due to wearing wigs for over 15 years and poor management. When I went to this salon, the stylist not only spotted why my hair was in such a bad state, but immediately worked on an action plan for my future hair care. I had given up on ever wearing my real hair out in public, but after just 1 visit, I am hopeful that I will be wearing my natural hair in the near future.
My daughter, on the other hand, has been scared to go to a hair salon due to her very tough texture. However, my daughter was so pleased when she got her hair done and was shocked by how the stylist was able to maneuver through her hair. And as the stylist finished my daughter’s hair, she was already formulating a way to help loosen my daughter’s hair and thinking about products that would her.
Outside of amazing hair care experience is a great woman of character. The stylist was so kind and made me feel like I had known her for forever. Great experience!
