Went on the Memorial day weekend, definitely a busy place. They were out of a few things but the food we had was delicious. Started with the Loaded Fries, the brisket and bbq sauce definitely went well together. Hubby got the Brisket Mac-n-cheese, which he was really impressed with, and I got the Not the usual BLT Sandwich. The tomato jam on the Sandwich was really interesting and very good. The waffles fries were perfect too. Definitely a place we would visit again.
Nice vibe on the river with indoor and outdoor seating. Menu has a variety of choices from pizza to burgers to seafood and meat. Price points are reasonable and portions are large! Our server Lauren did a great job. We all enjoyed our choices. Only complaint I have is the 4% service fee on credit card purchases. I get that they're trying to save money, but passing that on to the customer is IMO tacky. Wouldn't stop me from returning though, but may bring cash next time, which I presume is their goal????
What a delicious food, I’m really picky and not many restaurants will get 5 stars from me. I wish to live closer to be able to eat here more often. All dishes we ordered were heavenly great, portions are big, staff super friendly and caring, highly recommend this treasure place in Oscoda, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you:)
We ordered take out food while visiting family this weekend. They took the time to carefully package everything, including the condiments and sides, to ensure that nothing would spill on the drive home. In top of that, the food was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. We will certainly return again this summer and look forward to dining in. Thanks for a lovely meal!

We were excited to try this place out. It gained a mixed review. I'm going to start with the con, just because it's glaring. It took FOREVER to get our food. Party of two. No wait. Not a packed house, but decent amount of people. We sat down at 6:45ish. Ordered one appetizer and two burgers/fries almost immediately after she brought our drinks. Appetizer took about 15 minutes to come out, not terrible. But our actual meals? Took over an hour. The waitress came and apologized at least twice. Don't expect to be in and out. The kitchen isn't fast even on simple meals. Also, it said it was a sports bar but no sports were on, I'm not sure if that's a normal thing? It is a Monday night so I expected some NFL, but that's not too big of a deal for me. Just a note in case it is for you. Heck, they might turn them on if you ask. I didn't think to ask.
That said...The pros. The service was wonderful. Amy was incredibly friendly, our drinks were always refilled quickly, she got everything we needed and like I said, very apologetic about our long wait. The food came out very hot and fresh, and though we thought the burgers could use some seasoning, they were done well and the buns were toasted too which was a nice touch. Big burgers, large serving of waffle fries. The patio was closed for the season but there's still a really nice view of the river.
Overall, we'd go back again, but definitely would consider other places if we were in a hurry or just ready to get home, like we were tonight. 3.5/5 stars overall.
My first experience dining here was during the Lions playoff game. It was a pleasant surprise to find they were playing the game on a large movie theatre screen. The food and service were amazing. Everything from the appetizers to the meal (burgers, steaks, and fish) were awesome. I recently took my wife here again for a Valentine's dinner and we had the same waitress. The experience was the same, food and service were both excellent. I can't wait to try everything on the menu. This is my new go to restaurant and I cannot wait for summer to sit by the river. The comparison in dining experience to one I recently had at another long time Oscoda restaurant recently taken over by new ownership was a night and day comparison. If you're looking for a great place to eat with great atmosphere and service I recommend trying out the Au Sable Inn.
The walleye blew my mind. The green beans were phenomenal. Mashed potatoes, amazing. A little bit disappointed that they ran out of the fricken tips, but all the more reason to come back.
