Best WLM Reviews

The pictures speak for themselves! Asked for an extra cheesy pizza and they totally delivered. Not pictured is their onion rings, and those were tasty too.
Will be returning! Thanks again!
Great pizza, the bacon with ham was delicious. Also, the subs are good, but the pizzas are worth it. I drove 1 1/2 hours from Lawrence, so I have had my fair share of various pizza places.
Good job Athens ????
Normally I love Athens but I definitely got bad meat in a sub yesterday and I can't get over it. I can tell by the flavor it was definitely off. It was SO bad. I'm torn because most of my experiences were good, but one bad one is enough to keep me away a few years. PLEASE check your meats!
Also I looked at other reviews after mine and I am not a fan of the way they respond to criticism. Calling customers ignorant for questioning prices, for example. Criticism can only help business improve, unless you rely soley on reviews. Between the 2 pizza places in town Athens is the clear winner but nobody is 100% on point every time. This time for me just happened to be the worst. Like I said before, its usually better.
I typically do not post negatively about a local business, but the treatment I received today from the lady at Athens Pizza was unacceptable.
I’ll start by saying we have ordered pizza from Athens for years and have never had any issues. In the recent months, we’ve ordered once a week (Pizza Fridays). Anyways, my husband ordered pizza around 11:30. We ALWAYS get a pizza with no cheese as he has a dairy allergy.
He went to pick up the pizza, brought it home, and opened the box to find his pizza had cheese on it. He tried to call the restaurant but for some reason his calls wouldn’t go through so I decided to call for him. I explained that the small pizza should not have had cheese on it.
The lady who answered the phone was so rude and said “No, he didn’t say no cheese.” I said “Yes he did. He has a FOOD ALLERGY, and everywhere we go he ALWAYS says no cheese.” She continued to argue with me saying no he didn’t, calling a regular customer a LIAR. After all of this I asked her how can we resolve this? Pure silence. I said well, can you remake the pizza? And annoyed, she says “yep, we can remake it.”
I go to the restaurant about 15-20 minutes later. I brought the pizza per their return policy (listed on a sheet of paper up front). She says she can’t this back (understandable).
Then SLAPS the order ticket on the table in front of me and says “THIS is what he ordered!” As if what she wrote on a piece of paper is some kind of proof that he didn’t say no cheese... ????????????‍♀️ I said I dont believe that for one second as he has a food allergy and would never order pizza with cheese.
She probably did not hear him, hence the reason she didn’t write it down. Which is fine… this has happened before at other places. People make mistakes, and we completely understand that! But most businesses are apologetic and/or make it right! Calling your customer a liar and getting mad about YOUR MISTAKE is not okay and is TERRIBLE customer service! We will not be ordering from Athens in Jaffrey again.
To be specific this was an older woman, not the young woman we typically get at the front counter.
The food tastes delicious. We had pizza and calzones. The staff is extremely friendly and kind. We were greeted when we walked in and as we left. The bathroom was very clean. This was our second time there for lunch. We ate our food there inside. Table and booths were very clean.
I just left here and ordered a small chicken parm with extra provolone, and a 16 Oz stoneface Ipa and was a little surprised to discover the total to be $19.37. After seeing the menu price for a small grinder for about $9.00, and beer at $4.00, I just payed the bill trying to imagine that there prices must of increased without updating there menu prices. The sandwich was acceptable with its ingredients, however for the price I thought the portions could have been better, and as for the stoneface ipa the beverage was flawless considering it was presented in an unopened can however a bit more expensive than I thought it would be. I will certainly explore other options in town before deciding to return for a quick expensive snack.
The pizza was served promptly and was delicious. Nothing too fancy but the sauce is good and they put just the right amount of cheese. I'd say this is a great local spot for decently priced items.
We've always loved Athens especially because we need two or three extra large pizzas when we order for us and the kids. They are always super delicious and very friendly when we go in
