Ordered two pizzas for dinner last evening. When I arrived to pick them up, the restaurant was jammed, and there were about 15 people waiting to pick up takeout orders. When I reached the front of the line, I was told it would be an additional 15 minutes. No real problem. When my pizzas were ready, I took them home. The shrimp alfredo pizza was supposed to have caramelized onions on it. The onions that were used were barely cooked and were still crisp,.definitely not caramelized. Also the parsley garnish was missing. The Mike's hot honey pizza was supposed to include thick cut pepperoni and a hot honey drizzle. Both ingredients were present, but the pepperoni was in clumps rather than distributed all over the pizza. Some slices had lots of pepperoni and other slices had none. The two pizzas together were about $50, and for that amount I expected a higher level of attention to detail than I would receive at my local Domino's. Unfortunately that was not the case.
I love Anthony's pizza, but I recommend a little more seasoning on your crushed tomato. On my last visit I ordered the fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil Pizza. You should use plum tomatoes not regular salad tomatoes, they had no flavor and were very watery.
I used to love this place. I got a meatball sandwich and the chicken broccoli rabe sandwich. The meatballs tasted like they were all filler, and the chicken was almost nonexistent. Not to mention, the robotic order system on the phone, Becky, could not get the order correct and tried to add 3 random items to the order. Ended up hanging up on her. Someone from the store called back to take the order...I wish they hadn't.
Paige was our server and Alison Reynolds is the General Mgr. We had dinner Wednesday night May 15, 2024. Service is always incredible no matter who the server is. Paige & Alison however, made the crazy busy night exceptional. We will keep coming back to the Wilmington De Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza. Fine dining restaurants can learn a lot from this unique and special restaurant.
Ate here Sat night with a party of six. We had a great meal. We had 2 pizzas, a bunch of wings, and a salad. The food was great. We did notice that we ordered 20 wings and only got 16, that was weird. Our waitress (who was awesome) got us the additional missing wings. The pizza was delicious!
If 10 stars were available, only Anthony's is worthy ✨️ go to the ample bar and meet Jules, have her mix up a cosmo or better yet , expresso martini. Any combination of toppings goes well on Anthony's crispy crust. The pizza ovens can be seen by any seat to show the guys in action preparing your pie.
Wings . Outstanding! They have a full menu including pastas and appetizers....all delicious ???? I always sit at the bar, meeting friendly diners and sharing conversations. Thanks , Anthony's.
Wings and pizza are the best I’ve had. The honey hot and Parmesan Romano were delicious. I will go no place else for wings and pizza. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was superb along with the meat balls. The hot and honey Martini was so good I had 3. Anthony The 3rd was a great waiter. He was very attentive. I brought gift card because my 2 sons loved the food as well. Highly recommend!
Great place for some specialty thin crust pizza. I had the roasted cauliflower one and it was delicious. I requested fresh basil on my pizza which they happily complied. Washed down the pizza with a few mugs of beer. We went in the evening and there weren’t too many people at that time, but the service could be better.
