Got a room and the heat didn’t work and also when the train made the last stop I had no idea because no proper announcement was made. The train person knocked on the door and then got made because I didn’t know that a random knock meant to get off the train. Besides that he was cool.
I take the train all the time from Albany to NY. You really gotta appreciate the connectivity.
The bridges leading up to this station were so cool. The station was busy but we were off again 15 minutes later
Feels like a small airport, clean, nice shops, comfortable seating, secure and all around great service.
The station is very nice with great customer service and decent prices in the cafe. So far 3 of 4 rides I've picked up from here have been about an hour delayed. Very unimpressed by the railway lines.
Just took the 259 train station from Penn to Albany and upon arrival the door at the top of the escalator was locked. Causing everyone to be pushed up into the door. NO employee to be found as we are all screaming and banging. Not until my boyfriend was able to reach the emergency shut off did the door open. This is absolutely unacceptable. When I called Amtrak I was told that she doesn't know why that happened or why no one was there and also informed me that I may NOT get a call back from customer relations. Many people could have been hurt and not one employee to be found. Sad truly sad.
Really nice train station. Train had all new seats with plenty of leg room.
Never had a problem, everyone there very helpful.
