***Update: The owner replied to my original review and lied about me wanting a conditioning. She also lied and stated that I never mentioned to Angel about wanting the pipe cleaner curls. In my original review I mentioned that the pipe cleaner curls was what I originally wanted. I admitted to liking the so called "pincurl" style and tipped the stylist for her time. It wasn't until I got to the parking lot and started closely observing my hair that Angel did not style my hair in pincurls. She did the style she wanted to do completely wasting my time. I do not want a refund because obviously she needed the money instead of just owning her mistake that she did not have the tools needed to give me the style that I wanted from the jump. I posted a screenshot of the owners response because at this point she is trying to do damage control and act as if she has a problem with me explaining my experience so that the next person who may consider this place of business can make up their own mind after reading both the good and bad reviews. I've been nothing but truthful.

I made an appointment at least a week in advance and stated the type of style I wanted, but on the day of my appointment I was called to see if I could come earlier than the agreed upon time. That should have been a clue of a red flag. I couldn't make it, but I showed up on time to my appointment. Once I got to the salon; Angel had another client she was finishing up. After she washed my hair she sat me under the dryer until she was done with her previous client. My appointment was for 5p and she didn't start twisting my hair until 6p. Near the end of my session Angel "realized" she didn't have the pipe cleaners like I originally asked for to give my hair a tight curl. I drove over 30 minutes to Detroit for my time to be completely wasted. Since she didn't have the pipe cleaners for the style I wanted.... she said she would put my hair in pin curls to give the same tight curl effect. When she was done I liked the way it looked and tipped this stylist $20 for her time. But once I started going through my hair... she had my locs in knots which were difficult to take down. The way she styled it...I would not get the tight curls that I wanted. Angel is a liar and completely wasted my time. I hope she enjoyed getting over. ????????
Charese did my starter locs and my first retwist, they are lovely! Not only is the place run by all black women they all have dreads! They are all so polite, the place is clean, and they have very good customer service. I highly recommend going here.
I've been going here since I had baby locs, on everything Tina will get you together. She actually cares about the condition of your hair and will cater to it. The staff and the owner herself will answer your questions and the place itself is calm and relaxed AND CLEAN each time I go. This is the only place that touches my locs beyond my mother and myself.
Been going here for over 2 years and everytime the experience has been great. Christina have always done an amazing job with my dreads and Brendan follows it up with a crisp haircut. Highly recommend.
I've been going to this Natural Hair Salon for 5 months and my experience has been amazing. Christina has done an excellent job with my hair. I went from box braids to microlocs and I'm very pleased. She is very kind and timely. The other stylist are also pleasant. The salon always has a warm atmosphere.

She didn't know how to restart twists, sooo she RAKED through my son's hair like he was a fake doll until he was in EXTREME pain. Afterwards, she twisted it but did put in the right type of holding gel. Never returning.
This place is like getting your hair done at home. I love the vibes I am in love with my hair and my Loctician Imani is a Beast.
