Friendly service. Food needs improvement. Our party of five ordered five appetizers and each one needed improvement. Vegetable pakora was twice fried and way too hard. Paneer pakora was chewy and tasted double fried. Chicken 65 was okay at best (be aware that food coloring is added) and aloo tikka was good - not great. Chola Bhatura was eye-watering spicy and that’s after we ordered it medium. Bhatura was very fluffy and fresh.
We did enjoy the super friendly owner who made us freshly brewed chai (alas with ginger powder ????).
Wishing this place with new ownership the best. Hopefully with time they can make some food adjustments.
So good ya'll! I've eaten Indian food for years, and this is the best I've ever had. My family eats there about once a week, and Tina and her staff treat us so well. They bring us new things to try and know what we like. Give them a try you won't regret it.
Visited this place for the first time - such an amazing experience! The customer service was phenomenal, the owners are such wonderful people. For my meal, I tried the lunch buffet. Everything was delicious, my favorite was the butter chicken and tandoori chicken. All of the items tasted fresh and favorable! The spice level is mild to medium, so it’s good for everyone. This place is a MUST TRY!! Go and thank me later. :-D
This place is a welcome addition to our town. The owners and staff are so friendly and the food is amazing!!! I highly recommend this establishment.
First time trying the new Amar Indian Restaurant, and first time eating Indian food in general! I’m normally a picky eater, but I was very surprised. This is the butter chicken, it was filling and had a great flavor! I was also really impressed with their bread. They make it in house and you can tell. They are located in the plaza Dragon One was in on the steak and shake exit. Definitely give it a try!
It may not be the fanciest, upscale, or ostentatious restaurant, but I’ll say this:
The top three locations I’ve had Indian? Seattle, Washington; Tokyo, Japan; and here.
Come here for great food, leave any pretentious predispositions at the door.
Excellent food every time. I didn’t even think I like Indian food because I’ve always heard it upsets your stomach. I always get the spicy butter chicken. It’s amazing.
This little Indian place is great! I went to the lunch buffet and everything was fresh and hot. They have great authentic chai, and after you sit down they bring you freshly made Naan! Which most places charge for. I thought it was a great value for authentic Indian food. While the decor and esthetic looks a bit dated it is comfortable and very clean.
