Skilled with curly hair, which is rare. Allen listened to what I wanted and I left feelin' like a million bucks. Also such a pleasure to be able to get in right away!
I've been to Allen several times over the past few years since living in St. Paul.
His cuts have always been on point and quick and even at a great price for the quality of cut you're getting. He even for me in during my lunch break same day.
He's cut mine while is was both long and short and it always turns out great. Plus he's just a nice guy. Cash only, but there's a wells Fargo across the street.
Will definitely continue going to Allen for as long as I'm in the area and he's cutting hair!
No hype... just a great haircut!
I called Allen mid-day today, and he fit me in and gave me a perfect cut. We agreed right away on what I needed, and he delivered exactly that. Relaxed, confident, and thorough, friendly yet focused, he was easy to be with, and committed to doing an excellent job. I left smiling.The first friend I ran into, (a stylist herself, with decades of experience), immediately asked, "Who gave you that great cut?!" I'll be back for more!
I have curly hair. It’s difficult to find a good stylist. Allen is amazing. Precise. Professional. Helpful. I’ve tried other salons (I think a person should have a couple of stylists they trust). But, no one else compares. As a matter of fact, I’ve needed Allen to fix other people’s cuts. Thanks goodness for Allen!
Allen has been cutting my hair for more than 20 years, and I have followed him each time his shop has moved, now to its third location. I got tired of going to large chain haircut places, where I never knew whether I'd get a good, basic men's cut or not. I pay more at Allen L., but he knows what he's doing and his cuts are always detailed and thorough.
I found Allen via a google search when I moved into the St Paul area a couple years ago. Even when I moved away to another city in MN I made I kept on going to Allen. Now I live in South Florida and I still try to schedule my haircuts so that when I come back to Minnesota I can pay a visit to his salon. I don't know else to put it: he simply does a very good haircut at a reasonable price. I would recommend him to anyone.
Stopped by Allen's randomly before a move to NY. Showed him two professional hairstyle sample photos my girlfriend texted me and he delivered. He is talented and honest and I wish I had found him sooner. Great style at a good price. I recommend giving him a try.
