Our family goes here often for dinner. The food is solid, but I love going for the infused margaritas. They are delish! My favorite is the spicy pineapple.
It was Cinco de Mayo and they did a great job of keeping up with all the people. A little disappointed people were forced to one size of 32 oz beer for 18 bucks, you couldn't get a 12 oz bottle. The place is nicely decorated. Found a free parking spot on the curb.
Most everyone's food was decent to good, but the Acapulco Cheesesteak I had was awful. It was advertised as thinly sliced beef, onions, and a cheese sauce. The beef was chunky cubes of some cut of beef and was grey and dry. The cheese sauce was watery thin and barely a drizzle and soaked into one side of the tortilla. There might have been a teaspoon of diced onion. Beans, rice, and tomatoes on the side were the saving grace. QA friend got the churos, there were a couple small pieces and they were raw in the middle. Maybe we chalk it up to a busy night, but I'd prefer to not go back.
This is our local Tex Mex restaurant so I’ve been here a few times. The first few I struggled to find something I really liked on the menu but this time I tried the shrimp quesadilla and it was surprisingly great! The tortilla was stuffed with big, juicy shrimp. I also had the cantina margarita which wasn’t my favorite (tasted too much like sour mix). The service was fantastic though so I’d still recommend it for those in the area.
These Shrimp Tacos are NOT good, they’re dry as hell and the shrimp is over cooked. The Texas Fajita Quesadilla the chicken and steak were damn near rubber they was so dry. They don’t give any rice and beans with this giant quesadilla no sour cream no sauce NOTHING. It’s nasty if you like good food don’t eat here.
Visit Aguavero Cantina today - not tomorrow! Such a great experience. And, if you're lucky enough to have Julian as your server, you can thank me later. This place was truly an amazing find in West Midtown. I've been a few other times, but no other experience was like this one! Can't reccomended this highly enough!
Loved Javier! He was very hospital. The food was very delicious as well. And the environment is authentic. Will come back as many times as I can with more and more people! There is free street parking and 3 hour free parking in the parking garage. Just perfect. And also not too far from the Westside Park.
We absolutely love dining at Agavero every week! The service is consistently excellent, with friendly staff who always make us feel welcome. Not only are the prices very reasonable, but the quality of the food is outstanding. And we can't forget to mention our favorite bartender, Fatima! She always goes above and beyond to ensure our dining experience is enjoyable. Highly recommend this gem for delicious food, great prices, and fantastic service!
Did not disappoint for a Saturday afternoon! The mango mojito was on point and the fajita quesadilla was delicious. Everything was seasoned well not too much but just right. Portions were more than enough …had to get a take home box. Sat on the patio …:nice vibe
My Asilyn ( I think I mis spelled ????)was amazing …attentive and knew the menu and could give excellent recommendations.
