Delicious Indian cuisine. Enjoyable meal and atmosphere, great and attentive service. Few of us came in for the buffet and for what it offered, was totally worth it. Didn't have enough room for dessert. It's all the traditional dishes along with few extra from the menu. Will definitely return!
I used to dine here regularly but haven’t eaten here in about 7 years until last evening. I’m happy to say the quality, taste, and service are still just as good as ever. This restaurant has always been consistently delicious while providing efficient, high-quality service.
We had the pleasure of dining at the bar and had Vlad as our bartender/server. Nothing but great things to say! He was a wealth of knowledge about the food offerings, what to expect as far as taste/spice levels, great recommendations on drinks and food etc. They are lucky to have an employee like him who represents their establishment honestly.
We ordered the veggie samosas, chicken tikka masala (it’s killer, so good!), shrimp biryani, and garlic naan. If you’re a fan of Indian food and flavors visit this place, you won’t be disappointed! And if you can, sit at the bar with Vlad, he won’t let you down either.
This place is awesome, and I'm not even embellishing, so if you wish to try cuisine that you'll love and wish you could explore everything on the menu go to the lunch buffet! Take out dinner is a little pricey but I can't complain because of the volume and quality, I'm just sharing so no one gets sticker shock! The bar is inviting and I was intrigued by some of the drinks being prepared, so atmosphere is comfortable and the food couldn't be better because it's of such quality that the premise is impossible! My only issue is parking sometimes and of course, how Google continuously tricks me into calling this other location in Grandview!

During a weekend excursion to the vibrant city of Columbus, I seized the opportunity to indulge my palate in the diverse and rich flavors of Indian cuisine at Aab India Restaurant. Accompanied by my dining companion, KK, our culinary escapade unfolded with the promise of an extraordinary dining experience. Arriving just before noon, we found the exterior of Aab India unassuming, a subtle facade that betrayed little of the culinary marvels concealed within. The challenge of parking, however, proved a minor detour on our quest for gastronomic bliss. Having secured a spot in the Big Lot parking lot down the street, we waited outside, eagerly anticipating the moment when the doors would swing open to reveal the warmth and aromatic allure that awaited us.
As the clock struck 12, the portal to this culinary haven opened, and we eagerly sought refuge from the brisk autumn air. A gracious staff member ushered us to a neatly arranged table, allowing my companion to peruse the menu while I immersed myself in the restaurant's ambiance. The interior unfolded with systematic organization—tables optimized for space, a bar counter adorned with a curated collection hinting at a storied history, and at the far end, a buffet counter laden with an enticing array of Indian culinary treasures. The decor, an elegant fusion of warmth and antiquity, transported diners to a bygone era. With its antique-inspired ceiling, floor, and furnishings, Aab India exuded an authenticity that promised an immersive dining experience. The warm color palette and tantalizing aroma further heightened the anticipation, especially as I imagined the ambiance taking on a magical allure as daylight gave way to night.
Choosing the all-you-can-eat buffet, we joined a queue that mirrored our eagerness to explore the Indian culinary landscape. Labels adorned each tray, providing glimpses into the myriad dishes that awaited us. My plate became a canvas for a symphony of flavors—a scoop of herbal basmati rice, curry that was a departure from the familiar Chicken Tikka Masala, naan bread, fresh vegetables, and a dessert whose uniqueness intrigued my senses. Returning to our table, the first bites were revelations. The curry, a choreography of spices, danced on my palate, and the naan bread, while exemplary on its own, ascended to sublime heights when dipped in the curry. KK, fully immersed in the experience, relished basmati rice, Chicken Tikka, and an assortment of vegetables with evident delight.
In the midst of our culinary reverie, an attentive waitress graced our table, ensuring our glasses remained filled. A managerial or culinary presence, keen on enhancing our experience, paid a gracious visit, adding a personal touch to our culinary journey. Our senses satiated and the ambiance savored, we lingered a while before bidding adieu to the burgeoning crowd. Overwhelmed by the newfound popularity, we settled the bill, generously tipping for the delightful fare and attentive service—a mere $16 per person, a paltry sum for the culinary symphony we had indulged in.
Overall, Aab India Restaurant emerges as an unparalleled gem in the culinary scene of Columbus. A haven for those seeking not just a meal but a gastronomic journey, it stands as a testament to the alluring wonders of Indian cuisine. As I departed, the promise echoed—an assurance that whenever Columbus beckons, Aab India will be my chosen sanctuary for an encore of extraordinary flavors and warm hospitality.
Came here to celebrate a birthday the atmosphere is comfortable and the service is always excellent.
The rice here is probably the best I e ever eaten. Seriously I’d come here and just eat the white rice and be so happy. It’s perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Tonight we also got a variety of curries all excellent, mango lassi and some appetizers half off because of the happy hour special. Everything was prepared well and we were super happy with our experience.
Aab has a wonderful lunch buffet with so many options, you’ll want to go back to try everything! Even on the busiest days, staff are attentive and so nice. There are lots of vegetarian options too! Everything tastes great every time, a wonderful business to support here in Columbus!
The food was not Indian at all. I tried their buffet, and the food was very bland. It doesn't taste close to Indian food. The chicken drumsticks were super dry. All the chicken, paneer, and veg gravy were bland and sweet. Indian food should have spice flavors. The fish pakoras were the worst; they were smelly. You better go to some Indian restaurant that serves some authentic Indian flavor. I would not recommend you this place if you really want to try some good Indian food.
My previous experience with Indian cuisine did not go well, the appetizers, entrees, garlic nan, and cocktails at Aab completely changed my opinion. I enjoyed the experience and food so much, I can’t recall the last time I had a meal out where I enjoyed every bite/sip this much and smiled when I looked at the bill. I immediately saved Aab in my top places to eat in Columbus and we will be back next week.
