Really good home cooked meal. Fried perch was the best, light and flaky. Cooked just right. Stuffed crabs and shrimp were really good. Make sure you try the cucumber salad and potato salad too.
Very good food! This is one of the best kept secret of Jackson County! Overall not a real fancy place, but it is family owned and ran & I definitely like to support the "mom & pop" establishments of our community over the big chains. The shrimp & crab cakes were very good, but to me the winner for the night was the ocean perch filet. It was cooked just right and was light and flaky. I am not a real big fish person, but I think I could eat Momma's perch every night.
I love the food here. It was all you could eat seafood night ($20 including sides drinks and desserts.

I've also had non-seafood items like fried chicken(the best). Homemade mashed potatoes. Salzburg steak, BBQ ribs, and many sides. Dessert was homemade peach cobbler!

It was our first time there, we were not greeted or asked if we wanted the buffet or not, after standing in the doorway for a few minutes waiting to be acknowledged I finally asked someone who worked there what we were supposed to do and his response was to get in line, which was the buffet. Just about everything there was fried, so one of my sons didn't eat anything, My daughter, who doesn't like seafood, didn't have many choices at all. We each only got one small plate of food and only after we ate and I mentioned to the cashier that they should offer something not fried did she tell me they have a menu if you choose not to get the buffet, which we weren't told about. The service was not great. We were practically ignored. What food we did eat was good. But it wasn't what we really wanted, and we definitely didn't eat enough to pay the almost $70 it cost for me and 2 kids to eat 2 pieces of fish, a few hushpuppies and 3 chicken tenders.
Too pricey and rude. Told you to write your honest opinion and when you do the bash you on Facebook. I also have to say I've been in cleaner restaurants as well. Sorry Tammy but that's how i feel won't be back rather pay $14 for country food. But that's me. Do whatever you want .It's not for me or my family. I even apologize for posts that I took down later but she to judgmental and think she is a Christian but it's just a label.
Great food...I eat there frequently on Sunday after church, as well as order through the week with my co- workers. Never had a complaint with the southern food. The hamburgers are delicious too. I also love to buy their cake slices when they have them. Best cake ever! We have always had friendly service.
I have eaten at A Taste from Tammy for many years, and when I tell you, this lady has the best food! The wings, the burgers, the chicken livers, the fries, the everything I can go on and on and on it is spectacular prices are affordable. I love it wish I could do that every day!

I want to give Taste of Tammy some love. I sometimes come from Atlanta just to have lunch with my mom. The food is for the soul. And the food is always excellent whether it’s from the the bar or the menu. I recommend anyone in the area who needs catering for events or business contacts Tammy because you all are missing out!
