They stayed open late so that I could get my alternator changed and go see my sick dog. The dogs there are the sweetest and the people that work there are amazing at keeping you updated and working with you to get you what you need!!!!
Manny is the man! Anyone who has any common sense can obviously tell they know what they’re doing and are very mechanically professional. Don’t let the neighborhood fool you, they’ve got everything they need to get anything done in my opinion. Needed a new intake manifold (which is a lengthy job, disassembling a lot of parts that definitely requires experience). Manny stayed late and got it done when he said it would be ready same day. Reasonable prices, quality work. Can tell they’re good people. I had no issue giving manny a decent tip and I bet he deserves one with every job.
We really love A&M. auto repair shop. The workers are very friendly and if you don't need much done such as a oil change they get you in right away. They are very honest and up front. We won't go anywhere else. Give them a try. Try them and you will see what I mean. They are the best.
I came in the day prior and booked an appointment for the next morning at 9am. The person that booked my appointment was an older lady. I'm here right this very minute and nobody is here at all. The older lady told me that she made a mistake and booked me for Friday instead of Thursday. They don't have a computer system. The lady just wrote the appointment down in an appointment book. They also accept cash only. Its also important to mention that the place supposedly opens at 9am and its current 9:40am and the place is still empty. She called other mechanics and they won't even answer the phone. I have already purchased the parts and I'm sitting here waiting. I would not recommend this place to anyone because of bad business practices
Update...its 9:45am and someone just showed up.
Brought my car in for control arm. Firstly, they let their dogs run all over, and despite being friendly, jump all over you and owners do not care to stop them. Secondly, their hours of operation are whenever they feel like working. Stated they would be open at 9, drove 20 minutes there and at 9:30 still nobody was there, ended up late for work because of this. Next they parked my car without the handbrake on (manual transmission). Told me an alignment would not need to be done, but the wheel is now pointed way off. My car started death wobbling a couple weeks after, so naturally I look to the lug nuts in which there is a key needed to access them. Low and behold the key is missing and they claim not to have it. Only took cash, and when they didn’t have cash to break my 20’s, shorted me instead without a receipt. Very unprofessional tone when speaking with them as if everything is a joke. Only up side was the car was done fast. Shady business, will not be returning.
The folks at A&M were fantastic. Quickly identified what was wrong with my vehicle and fixed it the same day. Very reasonable and friendly. I could not recommend them more highly.
Manny seriously saved me and my family a heap of grief. I can’t thank him and his crew enough for their generosity.
My wife, two young boys, and I were two hours from home planning to enjoy a weekend of camping. We literally made it to the campground, but before we could find our site, our truck just stopped. Like stuck in the middle of the road, not moving, stopped. Another kind soul helped us load our gear on his truck and took us to our site, but we weren’t sure what to do with our truck. Our tow truck driver (looking at you Daniel from Affordable Towing) recommended A&M auto repair and assured us they’d have truck ready to go by the end of the weekend. Being out of town, we were pretty much at their mercy. They called next afternoon and told us the truck was good to go and even delivered the truck back to us (we were 20 minutes outside Manhattan). He even tried to refuse payment for his services (I guess it just overheated and they topped off fluids) but I forced him to take something for his troubles. No way did it equal the headache he saved us though.
You won’t go wrong with A&M auto repair. If I lived closer to Manhattan, I’d have a new mechanic.
