Joe did an excellent job installing a new alternator in my 2012 Hyundai Sonata. He was flexible with my schedule and very professional. I highly recommend him for any auto needs and will surely use his services again in the future.
My car broke down on a trip hundreds of miles frome home. A&L answered right away did everything they could to get me back on the road. It was the Friday before a holiday weekend amd they didn't want me stranded for 4 more days. I felt like I was treated like family. They explained what was wrong after trouble shooting my car. Pricing was more than reasonable. I was in a tight spot and they could have taken advantage of that but didn't. I can't reccomend them highly enough. Thank you!
Called this guy twice within a span on 30 minutes and he changed his price of running diagnostics from $95 to $120… when I called him out for changing his price he proceeded to laugh and say I was getting a “good deal”. I wouldn’t trust him, he doesn’t seem honest.
Joe did a horrible pre purchase vehicle inspection.
I was interested in purchasing a truck from out of state so I hired Joe of A&L mobile mechanic to perform an inspection ( charged 150 which is steep!) on a 2006 Dodge ram diesel 3500 located at E7 auto sales in Seguin TX. So he gave me a positive review of the truck saying it had "solid drivetrain / engine with some cosmetic flaws and was a great price ". He didn't provide a comprehensive review which I expected for $150. So with his advice, I booked a one way plane trip to buy the truck and drive it home. So I fly out and arrive at E7 auto sales to perform my own inspection prior to making the deal. So I do an external inspection and found it did indeed have cosmetic flaws, but much worse than expected. It had 40+ golf ball sized hail damage on hood and roof, which he never mentioned. Then I checked the coolant level. It was over a 3/4 gallon low as I filled it prior to the test drive, which he didn't mention. As he mentioned the catalytic converter was deleted, but he didn't mention it blew a lot of black smoke when it was revved up. Then I noticed the throw out bearing was extremely noisy, which he didn't mention either. I took it for a drive and the engine lacked power above 2000 rpm. The blend doors didn't change direction of HVAC air flow ( didn't mention either) . The biggest concern he didn't mention was a severe engine vibration at 1500 rpm which could have been injection issues or possibly an internal engine problem. He was correct in stating no engine light.
So after finding all these problems I walked away from this pile of overpriced junk. I was disgusted he performed such a lousy review which caused me to waste a 1000 dollar in plane fare, taxi and the inspection cost
Be careful with this so called mechanic!!
