I don’t recommend this place guys save yourself a headache. These guys are not actual mechanics certified. They’re bunch of punks and crackheads. Very knowledgeable and professional. I also appreciate the timely work ethic. Where I needed them to be expedient, they exceeded the expectation. I can't speak for price, but what I can say is I feel like they were affordable. They also have financing, which was also a great option for my situation.

Not sure if this is Mike or Sam, the funniest Thing is I actually forgot to come over here to change the review because I work all the time but please, let’s not talk about class with the type of service that was given to me now that the problem has been fixed after I had to call and yell and get yelled at the best thing I could tell people who are using A1 transmission is to use the shop in Lincoln Park and deal with Al because he’s the only one that really cares as far as the Dearborn location they could get a three star from me As for the Lincoln Park Shop Al and Rob Those guys could get a five star from me for actually caring about getting my problem resolved.
Update 2/13 tired calling to talk things out before I head to the court house but Sam like always want to play the victim role and get mad cause I’m done being nice I was nice for the month you had my car then the week you forgot about my car when I bought it back three days later, when it wasn’t riding right. Then he gone say I’m making up stuff like sir I just want my car to drive right what I paid you for Im not trying to tarnish your name.
I left this message back in August when I picked up my car and it wasn't fixed correctly. But the owner called me and was nice so I took it down but 7 months later Transmission is out again $3300 down the drain. Will be taking them to court for this.
Terrible terrible terrible please go somewhere else. I needed a new transmission found them on Google had my car towed here which is gonna cost you if you don’t get their service told them that I was off work due to a surgery that I couldn’t afford to go over $2500 was informed of some loans was told it would be $3200 when I took out the loans waited weeks for the car to be fixed then when I went to go get the car when it was finish was told that I had a new balance for new items but if I had to take out a loan for original payment so why wouldn’t you call me before you add on anything. Been patient the whole time never blew the phone up never cussed anyone out, Car breaks down three days of having it. Take it back they don’t see nothing wrong talk to Sam about the balance and about making payments next morning get a harassing call about the same thing I just talk to Sam about the night before. Call to talk to Sam and he gone tell me he been patient with me ???? Sir you added on extra items after you was already paid knowing I didnt have it they had my car nearly a month then a additional week after it broke back down. Then this man had the nerves to yell and hang up on me. I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau as well. I been so nice and patient to have to deal with who ever called me from the 359 number.
Guys do not go to this place they’re good at robbing people only they’re not what you think they are. They don’t know what’s going on. They are always doing crack in the back while working on customers cars I’ve seen a few fights going on inside there because someone messed up a woman’s car and lie to her telling her she needed a motor which only needed a battery, not this place save yourself a hassle
This is the wrost place I’ve ever came across, they installed the wrong transmission after attempting to change it 3 times in a row and they had the nerve to try to charge me for their mistakes. On top of that they were doing cocaine and pills in the office while working on cars.
Probably the worst experience Ive ever had going to a mechanic. I went there for a transmission rebuild in January of 2020 and it took three and a half weeks to rebuild the transmission. I called shop for a couple of days and was ignored so I went down there and found out my vehicle was crashed. The owner or manger ignored me and I had to find out by going there. The front tire also was damage due the bumper being pushed in and the tire grinding against the bumper. The truck was fixed to an extent. The tire was never replaced and the bumper was put on wrong. Their is still a dent in my front fender. After the car was fixed my transmission failed within a month. I inspected under the truck to see if the torque converter was changed and that was never changed. On a 1994 Ford Bronco you can drain the torque converter through the belle housing and I noticed the same torque converter was still in. The shop took my truck back in and rebuilt the transmission once again. I had to wait another three weeks and little if any priority was taken to get my vehicle up and running again. The transmission is leaking fluid around the belle housing. I would never recommend this business to anyone. If Im responded to Im eager to see this businesses response. Again the tire was never replaced and little effort was made to fix the dent in the fender. Also the headlight was damaged along with the headlight bezel. Lastly No policed report was made when they crashed the truck. I have never written a review for any business but I needed to share this. Again minus the car being damaged to the transmission failed within a month. I also was charged way too much money Im embarrassed to even write the amount. I honestly think most of the five star reviews on here are false and if you’re thinking about having work done here look at the one star reviews. Theirs several of them. I do believe its comical that the shop is called A-1 quality. Believe me their is nothing that is quality about this business.
In response to the owner so I guess if I wanted to come back and get work done on my transmission Im not in the system? This is funny absolutely comical because my 2 years 24,000 mile warranty isn’t in the system! So you didnt even do that right. Do I have to take a picture of my receipt and post it on here? Please listen to this post of mine and take your car elsewhere.
Awesome experience. Very nice people working there. I had my transmission rebuild for Ford Escape 2016. Not only they were prompt but were responsive throughout the process. Greatly appreciate the work.
What a great place very professional when I went in I was crying when I left I was smiling needed a transmission got my car back in less than 4 business days 10 out of 10 thank you for a job well done
