These guys were very helpful in helping diagnose the problem with my vehicle. I was fortunate to find a lesser quote at a place closer to home. But I am very happy to recommend them for great service.
@@@ AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS. THEY DO CHEAP WORK ON JUNKYARD CARS. IF YOU HAVE A NICE WHIP, DON'T BRING IT HERE @@@
I've been here 3 times. Once for my mufflers, and again for the resonator straight pipe.
This last time, I came in for a cat-less downpipe installation on my 2016 BMW. I was quoted $200, not bad right?
As they were highly inexperienced, they were unable to remove the stock catalytic converter.. so instead of asking me if it was okay - they took an electric saw to it. They cut my stock catalytic converter in half just to remove it.
After witnessing this, I told them to weld it back together and put it back in. I would find another muffler shop, and I wasn't too worried about the $200.
Again, didn't ask me if it was okay - because they knew it wouldn't be. I was planning to smog the car soon after moving out of state, I'd mentioned this. This set me back about $2,500.
A new catalytic converter later, I find out that they had also fouled out my o2 sensors when reinstalling the stock downpipe. Fortunately, I found those for around $200.
Unfortunately, the o2 sensor installation replacement cost me another $1,000.
I only now got the car passing smog at my new location, after a month of troubleshooting issues derived directly from this shop.
This trip was supposed to cost $200, and it ended up costing me nearly $4,500 - and I got absolutely nothing from it.
After visiting another muffler shop, they asked me "Who did this work"? After replying, they straight up told me how bad and cheap everything was done. More narrow and cheaper piping, terrible hangar work - 3 out of the 4 had already snapped within a month. The lining work was super crooked, there was a lot of issues that I didn't even know could be issues with muffler work.
I had the straight piping they previously did for my mufflers/resonator replaced with wider, better piping and the car sounds SO MUCH better now! No more tin, just pure turbo and engine! Definitely worth the extra $300 I paid. A-1 mufflers pipes went in the trash.
Lesson learned. Don't make my same mistake!
I went here the day with an exhaust unknowingly not being for my car. But they still made it work! Price wasn't that bad for the work I saw get done. It definitely saved me the headache of figuring it out myself! Skip is your man for mufflers, he welcomed the challenge I brought him with open arms. Going to definitely bring the other exhausts in to get them fitted on here soon for sure.
They are great. Best price Quality Work. I always send people there.
I told 7 day tires a few blocks away to check my rotors but he only replaced my brake pads, so a month Later I showed up to A-1 and got the brakes /rotors serviced all they way around with a 2 month warranty from the boss.
Unlike some car shops the boss gets his hands dirty and wants you taking care of. I also had Flowmaster pipes installed a week before.
And the whole crew is nice.
They did an amazing job
Went and got my resonator removed and A-1 Mufflers did a great job. I may have to get a tune because I do hear a bit of rattle from the back but overall still a solid job.
Thanks to the owner of this shop they gave us a good service
